So they’re only 15-22 currently but have absolutely monstrous levels of talent (hence the name). Third rapper, Asa (also known as Acesa as shes the established Ace - so far ) is a rapid-fire spitter and was doing Godzilla at 14 with scary ease, but has a great singing voice as well. Ahyeon (rapper in blue/high note) is a golden all-rounder, Ruka (rapper in yellow) is the eldest but has also displayed a bit of singing, Pharita (does the beginning baby imma monster part/the one you said reminds you of Jisoo) is one of the “princess visuals” and despite being a vocalist has displayed a bit of rap ability, and the exact same thing with Rora (second youngest who does the piano bit) - aka princess visual, vocalist who has displayed a bit of rap ability. Pharita and Lisa are also super super close, and their families are close too! Like they celebrate holidays with each other and Lisas mom was with Pharita’s family to celebrate Pharita’s birthday from afar (Pharita and Chiquita are both Thai, and Asa/Ruka are Japanese, the other 3 are Korean). Chiquita (blondie who does babymon during first chorus) is the maknae, and shes like kinda a prodigy bc YG is known for how long they train the artists they debut and she had maybe like 2 years of training before being chosen for the group at 13, and shes currently taking rap lessons. Rami is an absolutely INSANE vocalist (already one of the best in 5th gen, watch her Pick Up Your Feelings cover or her Lee Mujin episode you absolutely wont regret it) but it seems like shes a secret Ace as well based on how often she does the other members rap parts during their fanmeetings, plus shes been writing with Asa lately. Part of the switch up is super symbolic bc Ahyeon was always supposed to debut with them (they had a huge, emotional survival-esque show called The Last Evaluation - which Lisa and Jennie appeared on 2 of the 8 episodes- that was essentially about how not all 7 could debut, but lo and behold - also recommend because there were multiple jaw dropping viral performances and also some tear jerker moments) and was prob the most popular member, but she had to go on a health hiatus and missed Batter Up and Stuck in the Middle. Therefore, Sheesh is considered their official debut, and that moment of her coming through the doors saying “Baby I’m a Monster” is like yes I am finally here, I am one of the 7, I’m joining my sisters at last and balancing the group, I am a true baby monster. Their other tracks are great also! Batter Up is a true YG track, Dream MV might actually bring tears to your eyes but is just stunning, Like That (given to them by Charlie Puth following Ahyeon’s viral cover of his song Dangerously) is a true 2000s RnB, Forever is a pop synth with an insane rap section, Stuck in the Middle is an angelic ballad, and their Monsters intro is just like the ultimate hype up. You should check out Treasure as well! Jikjin, MMM, King Kong, I Love You, Bona Bona, and then sub-unit songs Move and Volkano (rap trio) are all good ones to start with. Like all YG groups, their rappers are out of this world. Also yes Korean skin care is no joke!! Not just a trend - highly recommend it

Babymonster and Blackpink both have an "older sister" group too, called 2NE1, who defined the YGE girl group sound and attitude. They were disbanded in 2016 but have been revived for a series of concerts starting next month. There are a lot of callbacks to 2NE1 in this song and music video, the video has some visual styles that draw on the 2NE1 videos for Can't Nobody and Gotta Be You and Babymonster performed a medley of 2NE1 songs as part of their final evaluation before debut so the company is definitely trying to pitch Babymonster as heirs in part to 2NE1's legacy (one of the biggest selling girl groups of all time- when sales were the primary metric).

Good call. Most of them are minor. They're 15 - 22yrs old. YG real charming is Live performance. YG didn't create artists. They create legend.

No actual family relationship to Blackpink members but are under the same YG company. But surprisingly Chiquita also from Thailand does have the genius talent for dance and performance stage presence that Lisa has but has the added advantage of powerful angelic vocals. She is 15 yo and was shoulder tapped to audition for YG at age 13 spotted performing for another kpop group in Thailand, Red Rose, so she has the least training of all the Baby Monster girls at YG. Rora has the most likeness to Jisoo. Both have a similar powerful mid and lower vocal range and are both also from Korea so do have the beautiful Korean visual features. Ahyeon has been compared to Jennie although I can't see the similarity. They both are aces in that both are rappers and singers. Ahyeon differs from Jennie in that she has a huge powerful High note belt and she has a really powerful loud mid range which Jennie can't reach.

Noo they are not blood related. They are just from the same entertainment company. So black pink came before them. my favourite member is Ahyeon, she's like the Jennie of the group, she can sing rap and Dance she's the Ace ❤

No actual relation, but Babymonster was mentored by members of Blackpink during their training stages... Babymonster and Blackpink are under the same label, YG Entertainment.
