At this point I wish sds could take a year or two off from the yearly grind and just give us a completely redesigned game. New graphics engine, easier ui, new announcers, get the freeze offs and choppy gameplay out, dedicated servers, the works. New game mode idea. Tournament style with 16 players. You pick one batter and one pitcher. Pitcher is common only and batter is who ever you'd like. It's a bracket where your pitcher vs their batter in a homerun derby. Pitcher is CPU so both you and your opponent only have control of your batter. Pitcher only throws strikes but can throw change up, sinker curve whatever their mix consists of. Most homeruns over a 2:30 time with a 30 second double homerun timer at the end.

I don’t mind pitching being ‘easy’ cause of all the basement dwellers you have to face. Also you showed Vida Blue didn’t have energy, next year they need to find a way to refresh stamina for all pitchers in your inventory at some point in the year. I wanted to use 99 Arrieta the other day but he had no stamina though I hadn’t used him since like May/June. Maybe every two weeks the stamina should reset for all pitchers

Pinpoint needs to matter more, I played someone and I didn’t swing the whole inning I was batting and he never threw a perfect pinpoint, and still dotted every pitch. I’m pretty good at pinpoint and almost always throw perfects, but if I just barely mess it up it hangs… You should get punished for not throwing a perfect

Please, Chev, no lets not make pitching harder than it is already for average players. Although, I will take pitching being harder IF pitches break more realistically and dot easier with perfect inputs. So that guys like Satchel Paige can be viable. And I second that Satch should have had his goofy pitch names on his cards and not the straight up FB SL SB etc etc. The whole dynamic of pitcher v hitter needs a rebalance. Sliders shouldn't shrink PCI, Curveballs shouldn't loop etc, strike zone needs to be tighter, perfect pitch inputs should generate more strike calls on the black to punish hitters who never swing at anything "near" the edge of the zone. And the other way around hitters should be rewarded with hits that drop more often than not with perfect inputs outside of rare excepts, contact hitters well need I say more? I'm sure there are other things but overall if we're going to increase input difficulty lets at least balance it out a bit so each side can have a more rewarding outcome for perfect inputs. PS: Not being a dick or argumentative, curious what you would want to do to make pitching harder.

Pitching is a complete joke. What about using pinpoint is difficult for the "average player"? Spinning the analog stick in the same exact way every single game? There is no skill gap involved in pitching in this game in its current iteration, it absolutely should be made much harder.
