This is a real problems with many companies in India where they don't supply parts in after market just for profit margin and creating monopoly in market. But this is another reason for where there are low sales of their products as compared to others in competition. Being as an Auto Parts Business person, here I can understand there (Brotomotive) difficulties that how they have procured the parts of this Honda Amaze. While the workmanship is top notch. This car is now inherently dangerous as it has no structural strength with so many cuts and additions. Not sure why this family wanted to repair it so much but anyway best of luck to them! Hopefully it doesn't crash again because it won't be as safe as it should be.

Regarding welding, I agree that the thumb rule for weld strength is 1 weld taka is equivalent to 1 ton. However the question is about structural integrity of the vehicle which has been stitched via welding throughout.The vehicle will be in dynamic condition and prone to lot of vibrations, road abuse &welds are prone to rusting very easily. I would not recommend restoration, if the vehicle is declared as Total loss considering safety. But due to sentiment criteria, the restoration is done, after restoration if the guy sells of the car to other person, just give it a thought.
