USELESS! These cars are too small, cramped, slow and lack any ground clearance. Also not sure if it's even awd. Small European vehicles are so overrated, that's why some of them aren't even on sale on premium north American market and they suck on the other main premium market, China.

That car looks beautiful, but the backseats are completely useless for anyone unless they’re extremely small or wanna gain claustrophobia. Also, what’s with the baguette holder ? That doesn’t seem very useful for anyone outside of France but I could be wrong on that I just know I would have no use for that. I think they should just turn it into 2 seater car because there’s no front trunk so to help with storage like groceries and with the backseats being so useless if you find if you could fold them flat to kind of use us an overnight bed if you had to stay somewhere for the backseats, but besides that they’re useless

@@993bluezones9 I'm not expecting the majority of the world to buy one. There are plenty of middle income earners who do have private driveways and can install a charger. For those people these cars can be a great investment. I lease 2 electric cars and between my wife and I we cover about 16-18k miles per year. We pay maybe 100 a month more on the leased electric cars than we would if they were petrol but easily save that on fuel/tax/servicing costs. On top of that we get the small convenience of not having to visit petrol stations a couple of times a month. Not to mention the better performance and comfort of the electric powertrains. They clearly don't work for all. Probably don't even work for most and the government/car industry need to come up with solutions. Doesn't stop them being a great product for many people. Hopefully the 500 recipe will be successful on this. It looks lovely and seems to be a compelling package. I get that there's not much space in the back too, small cars are...small?

Mat, more the rear wheel arch is part of the rear door the less room for the window to lower.

Renault designers took a full course on how to desing a dashboard surface which is not usable at all. No storageplace, nothing to attach gadgets to/on...all show, no go.

Car rental company Hertz recently announced that it is selling 20,000 EVs, about one-third of the company's electric vehicle fleet. According to reporting from Bloomberg, Hertz has decided to cut back on EV rental cars because of high repair costs and weak demand from its customers. This announcement was somewhat surprising to industry analysts, because Hertz had previously made big EV purchasing deals with electric vehicle makers like Tesla and Polestar. But if a major rental car company like Hertz is seeing slow demand (and high costs) for electric vehicles, this could be a sign of additional trouble for EV owners. After all, if a big rental car company can't afford the repair costs of EVs, what hope is there for the easily led who have to pay for EV car insurance and other EV maintenance costs?

I loved my Renault fives - had a GTL and TS. Spare wheel and jack under the bonnet... ace!

Steer by wire is a space and cost saving product. No back up incase communication to your car management system fails. Old cars were all hard wired, you actually press the brake when you press the brake, now it’s just a CMS inbetween you and the brake.

Love this car. Brands like Renault, etc. have something that cheap Asian clones do not have. Heritage, history, iconic names and models. Smart to (finally) use that advantage.

It’s gonna be an absolute hit. I hope Renault anticipates it so it does not happen like with the Suzuki Jimny.

Renault have done a great job with this. Colours look fabulous (stand out against a sea of GT Silver:) Price, range and weight are pretty good. Think it could be a sales smash hit.

Starting price of £22,000 for the basic model in the UK. _And people wonder why EV sales are dropping!_ And if Renault wanted to hark back to the old 5 having square headlights, then why not fit square headlights?

Rwd with a nice frunck would be a HUGE seller anywhere in the world. Also, a hatchback style.
