I don’t understand why this is mind blowing to you. The key and the keyhole are both hidden. Most of the time the dealer doesn’t tell you about this feature when they sell you the car. So most people don’t know that there’s a hidden key and key hole. The guy in the video isn’t surprised that keys exist. He is surprised by the fact that there is a HIDDEN key and key hole. I know old people just love to make fun of the kids these days but this is just you misunderstand why the guy in the video is surprised. It's not obvious because of secret cover that hides the keyhole, so its kind of expected that people wouldn't know this unless they needed it. It is very well hidden to be fair. Its has way less to do with people not understanding that Keys are a thing that exist, its just the opening and finding the hold that is "the tip." Some cars put the key holes under the sides of the car to hide them, so this isn't a standardized thing anymore.

Its less about that they don't realize there is a key in their key, just they dont know how to find the really hidden lock on the door. The only visible key hole is on the glove box in the new mustang. Dealers don't disclose the lock location either Coming from someone who also owns a classic mustang that (from the factory) came with a different key to open the truck than the one you use to start the car and unlock the doors
