Please learn to accurately READ PEOPLE lol they already said and it's a known that every person who appears on the show gets paid a small appearance check. That's the standard of the Entertainment Industry. They legally can't show these peoples' faces without a release contract and, if appropriate, an appearance payment. Otherwise it depends on the contract. I was involved in a medical documentary for PBS/NOVA and absolutely did not get paid for it because I VOLUNTEERED for my doctor. If the appearance isn't voluntary then one must be paid. If you think Kamie is "obnoxious" you have clearly portrayed yourself as an asshole lol Kamie speaks nothing but the truth and does it while respecting peoples lives, orientation, personality, and emotions. I been in the same situation she was in. I was talking to this guy while i was in in college. He had a fake picture of a nice looking man from Australia and he told me he was kidnapped and beating up by a gang and he needed money to get out. My dumb and heartfelt self gave it to him and he feel in love with me and i really liked him but he continued to ask for money because he needed a plan ticket somewhere and again i gave it to him. Eventually he broke out of the lie because he loved me and told me the full truth and he was actually from Nigeria and wow he still had a nice accent lol but he took advantage of me and lied and when u love someone u wouldn't do that. He begged for forgiveness and asked me to stay but i accept his apology and i prayed for him and asked him not to do it again but i couldn't be with him after that but i do check on him time to time but it hurts that people would do that to such kind ans struggling people. Im unable to trust anyone like that anymore but i will still give for the people that actually need it and pray that God can tell me if its genuine or not.
