Beautifully played ! Thank you, too, for the last hymn - great harmony, registration choice and words - thrilling thought of when we get to Heaven 'How shall I sing that Majesty which angels do admire ......... ten thousand times ten thousand sound Thy praise, but who am I ? ' For by grace are we saved through faith and not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2.8

Most if not all worship directed to the Lord that’s played on such an organ can only have a profound affect of the believer. Worship is our most desired ‘work’ for the Lord.

The THAXTED tune is one of my favorite hymn tunes! For my own funeral I’ve long wanted my church choir to do the Ralph Vaughn Williams “Te Deum”. They’re more than capable (our organist came from his position as First Assistant at Canterbury) but I’m afraid something that long might be overdoing it a bit. Turns out a newer Lutheran hymnal used by Canadians and some Yanks has a simplified text of the “Te Deum” set to THAXTED! So that’s the route we’ll go. And my soul will be amply satisfied.

Truly excellent playing with a consistent beat flowing between the verses, so keeping the rhythm going which helps congregations to sing along confidently; this skill seems to have been lost by so many including some of the top Organists. I’m not much of an Organist myself but I work with the rhythm and timing and I know how much it helps with the singing even with small congregations. Very well done!

Unfortunately not, it’s a camera trick. I ‘placed’ the screen on the desk in post production. It’s a trick that started here on BIS, but you may see it on other channels now as well.
