This caused us to miss our connection - they said there was so much luggage to load it took a long time...moving at this pace I can see why! We had a missed connection because of this complete lack of urgency in baggage handling. A 12 hour delay because of this hardly seems fair. I don't see how Alaska Airlines can be okay with a 12 hour layover because of this. Such a substantial Flight delay because of this is just crazy.

We did everything right. The plane arrived a little late which wasn't great but then once we boarded the plane it just sat there forever. They eventually announced there was a delay because there was more luggage to load than expected and it was taking a long time so I take a look outside my window and this is what I see - staff just standing there, looking through the luggage as slowly as possible!
In the end we missed our connection in Seattle resulting in a 12 hour delay until the next available flight. Alaska was good enough to put us up in this hotel overnight: • Courtyard by Marriott ...
But they could have avoided upsetting several customers, paying for hotel stays, and disrupting travel plns if their staff just MOVED!
