Excellent video, so glad it’s working for you. I don’t suffer with chronic fatigue but listening to everything you were saying has given me the push I needed to book an appointment for therapy for other issues. I’m lucky that we have access to a therapist for free through my work but I still didn’t do anything about it but whilst listening to you, I’ve referred myself. Definitely not one for being vulnerable in any way at all - which is probably reason enough to seek counselling 😂 Thank you for the encouragement xx

Hi, first of all i want to say how beautifully you both banter with each other, bless, if anything the laughter & connection was perfect 🥰 I missed my daughter who has left home watching you guys but felt a joy too.i came across this video while i searched "cure into chronic fatigue", coincidentally it has been be 13 yrs for me too but only confirmed diagnosed was in 2020 & since then i have been working through it, every thing you said was bang on, both you & mum had good metaphor & how explaining things in a way made it helpful by examples given. I am a little confused by one thing, your title of the video & to what understanding i am on, so all things covered by your video i agree & to what improvements i have seen with myself too, not having many crash as much aswell & doing better than before, does the cfs go completely, because i have come into terms of acceptance & having them rollercoaster rides i now work more on management & other techniques. I am a mother of five, 47 yrz old, body crashed after or maybe during last child birth, was in a verbal abusive relationship... I have to add that i see dedication in reading the comments & hats off to you for replying to each one. Also since the therapy & now where you at what is the time farme of changes, would you say your therapy was directed to cfs, i have had different types of therapy too, my last one was on trauma, i do feel much better & i am currently working to carry on moving forward with all the knowledge gained, the podcast came forward to me was "overwhelming brain" with the information you shared even it was known i still found it helpful to listen as it always good to refresh & the way you put it out so thank you so much. Self care & self love is so important regardless but i believe it gets translated in a way that it makes you feel being selfish, i work on communication too but when i was at peak my body was just not giving out the right msgz but now that i have worked & working on myself things are getting better, if anything not for others but for me defo! Although fatigue is throughout the body i have more exhaustion from moving around so i have had to practise alot on pacing & have challenges in doing things xtra, ie if i go out & then come home to do work then i know this is too much... Sorry for the long comment, probz the first, maybe becuz the energy i felt was so related. Lot of love & blessings, will try to look at your other videos too.

hi mckenna!! i just wanted to say thank you. i’ve struggled with severe anxiety ever since my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and have been going to therapy since, but there’s something really special and motivating about seeing a girl my age benefit from all the practices i’ve learned about. i’ve had these tools at my disposal for a while, but this video helped me realize that my bouncer (his name is Barry) was telling me that i’d never get better and so i shouldn’t even try. This was such a good video/chat! I’ve worked with a lot of children with different needs/mental health issues and a lot of what you’ve talked about have been useful in smaller bite size sessions with children when they have had a meltdown down…after a cooling of period talking about different things that can help with strategies. Also breathing techniques are brilliant in a lot of different situations. Drawing can also help to distract the brain to think about something else and not the negative things that your ‘bouncer’ is trying to tell you something negative! Keep up the good work… sending positive energy/thoughts to you. X

I totally agree that positive thinking is so powerful but it can be hard so, every so often, I have to 're-train' my brain, especially at work so I can shift my perspective which can help with my overall wellbeing . I also have a good old chat with my body, especially when everyone around me has lurgies & I can feel a sniffle coming on 😷.. I just say ''Nope, I'm having none of that, no way, I am staying healthy'' & I imagine my cells blasting the germs away 💥😉. Have a good evening xx

Having to tell you, when I was diagnosed by a Rheumatologist he said this….”good news is I know you have fibromyalgia and fatigue bad news is you can’t do anything about it, see your GP for pain management” Those words you can’t do anything about it 😢

This is like a relatable easier to understand version of The Chimp Paradox. Tried reading it, rather intricate but fascinating stuff. Im 52 and have suffered anxiety, ED, skin issues, IBS, low self esteem, obsessive behaviors, migraines blah blah blah, and now bouts of crushing fatigue and colds & flu, which hinder my 'Go To' coping mechanism which is exercise (extreme). All v complicated yet i know its intertwined and yes i know its stemmed from my childhood and a very negative critical controlling parent, whome i still deal with.. I think i need to reach out to a professional to try get this under control as its blighted too much of my life. Thank you for sharing this. ❤😊

There are people here in USA talking about “brain training” and charging for it. By your definition, I now understand what brain training means. Thank you so much. Not everyone can afford to pay. ❤

I am working with a therapist who has me reading “When the Body Says No”. I agree it is easier to ingest if you listen to rather than read it. I do have to take it in short bursts but I am amazed at what I have learned about myself. Truly profound! Thank you for this video. I connect so much with your experiences,

It is so eye opening and lovely to hear topics like this spoke about on a platform that can often overshadow these issues. You’ve really used your platform for the right reasons here, and I hope as many people as possible can see it. I’m defo sharing with my friends! To struggle everyday with intrusive thoughts and find a way to mellow them out, honestly does change everyday life. And takes the negativity out of every other moment. And the whole three circles thing is such a simple amazing summary of it all, to put understanding behind why these thoughts and feelings happen. You should be super proud of yourself, and how you’ve articulated it all too! 💕💕💕

You are such a fantastic communicator Makenna. You have undoubtedly helped people with this video. Well done. You should be so proud. And Andrea, you exude pride as you stare at your daughter. She's so lucky to have you as her support.
