i like how different types of monkeys, such as dartling gunner have the different class reforges, the dartling gunner having bow or gun reforges

That's because dartling gunner is the military tower, so he gets modifiers from ranged weapons, "Unreal" is the best modifier for ranged weapons, here some best modifiers for each four class weapons from terraria, "Legendary" for Melee, "Unreal" for Ranged as you already know, "Mythical" for Magic and Summon, yes these two classes share the best modifier.

I feel like it's a better idea to get a bad reforge first, upgrade the tower to a T5, and then reforge to a good modifier after. I get that it would cost more for each reforge, but you also have your Marketplaces to earn you hundreds of cash every wave. Really expensive upgrades like Super Mines or Paragons (like the APM shown at the end of the video) would be a lot more cheap, even with small decreases in price.
