Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

So glad you hit a pocket like that. It is always sooo exciting. Yet what were you thinking by going into the outback with no water or food for either of you? Any and every time you go out, you should have survival basics with you. (food, water, fire, medical and survival blanket) It only takes one emergency to be glad you did.

Im pretty shure we saw floating bits of gold in that blue pan on the right end of the screen. First clean up or second. Maybe you should use jet dry sometimes.

I've made heaps of videos on surface tension, this water had jet dry in it. It's not a cure all.

@@VoGusProspecting yeah i know. Well i think your gold has a lot of chance to float because of all the micro pores and fractures. Some places jet dry dosent do much, but i think in your situation it does a lot. I might be wrong though. Thanks for sharring. Ive seen these videos i remember.

Well done Mate.. Put some tape around your coil so that no bits of dirt or water will get under your skid plate.. If a bit of iron stone gets underneath the skid plate you definitely will get a lot of false signals.. well done on the specimens good.. Cheers Famo59 👍🍻⛏🤓

A bath in some diluted hydrochloric acid would probably really bring the gold out in that specimen. It should dissolve a lot of the iron and dirt from the surface. Not all of it, as it's part of the geology, but just enough to better show the gold. Don't know if thats allowed for a collectors piece though.

OK, both Marlo (golden retriever) and Murphy (Schnouzer) get extensive scratching behind and around their ears. Chris, this was one of your better videos and I truly enjoyed watching it. Why? Not necessarily because of the $$$ amount of gold you discovered, but because of the fun and pleasure you displayed while finding it and making the video. It looks like you may have been lucky enough to come across some virgin ground........It is very likely you will be able to trace your finds back to where they originated.......If you can you may be pleasantly surprised to find a nice Ironstone rich reef that is carrying the same sort of free gold you have already traced......Good luck.......Will be verykeen to see where you end up on this.....

You could clean up the gold in quartz specimens with hydrochloric acid or iron out if they have that in Australia. I used HCL acid to clean off copper nugget specimens and it works great.👍

Hey Chris good find its always exciting to find species.I like to put multi meter on accross the visible gold.This way you tell if the gold is connected through the rock.Its pretty exciting when it is.
