@@thomasthetankengine7153 I'm excited about the 4S Mojave but not sure I would call it the most exciting release. It's just another version of the same 3S 4S platform. I say the most exciting thing about it is the center differential which in today's day and age really shouldn't be exciting. I agree though that not a whole lot has happened this year. The Sledge probably would have been basher of the year if this hadn't come out

The Sledge?? LoL. Come on... From what I've seen, it needs more upgrades than the Kraton or Kronos. Restricted battery tray, weak chassis due to weak brace design and limited space for motor upgrades. That car has no chance of being RC of the year anything. 😉

@@AussieRCPlayground Maybe though I would recommend reserving judgment if you haven't experienced it yourself. The battery tray from the factory is limiting but with 5 minutes of work and a couple of battery straps that limit goes away. In general It's actually a pretty tough and fun car. It handles well does standing back flips out of the box and for general bashing is pretty fun and durable. The rear shock tower tends to bend easily but at least in my experience the chassis and brace system is better than the RTR stuff from arrma. The clipless body system is well designed and very convenient It's relatively easy to work on parts are readily available upgrades are basically unlimited etc. That being said the competition this year really isn't very stiff. Other than the sledge there haven't really been very many releases that I would even consider noteworthy until TC started releasing stuff. I'm not honestly sure what I would have picked for basher of the year other than the sledge if these vehicles hadn't come out. The MTX comes to mind but it's got a couple of limitations that aren't easily addressable that really hold it back. I still struggle with the steering system on it and there's no aftermarket so there's really no way to fix it.

Ok, fair point, I haven't owned a Sledge nor do I have any intention of spending $1300-1400 on one. (Yes, that's their retail price here). But you seem to be contradicting yourself by calling it "tough" in one sentence and then saying the rear shock tower bends easy in the next. LoL. And image giving and award to car that requires the end user to modify the battery tray immediately after opening the box just so they can use their own battery of choice. Any other brand would be chased out of town by an angry mob with torches and pitch forks, but cause it's T-brand, it's ok, it's just a small mod... 🙄 LoL. When it comes to rating T-brand, from my prospective, they will forever have a very steep uphill battle. They are the most expensive RTR RC brand in the country, so as far as "bang for your buck" goes, that's out the window 9/10 times. Their servos are among the worst in the industry and that's not an opinion - it's fact. Don't forget I worked in hobby shop for 5 years and dealt with countless failed servos. And their warranty here is Australia is the worst in the country with only 30 days from date of purchase. Now parts support is usually pretty good, however, T-brand is in the doghouse with our government because their slipper pads use asbestos and we have a 0 tolerance for that stuff here. ECX went through the same thing about 3 years and have stopped being sold here. I'm sure T-brand will continue, but they need to fix their issue first and as of right now, there are hardly any T-brand cars being sold in Australia and only limited numbers of parts are being brought in. Again, the Sledge as a basher may be a decent car, but it fails to tick a lot of boxes in order to be at the Alpha among its competition. And when it costs $250-300 more than it's rivals, it's hard to justify. Speaking of rivals, I'm pretty sure the Team Associated Reflex MT14 monster truck is probably a better candidate than the Sledge. 😁 (I think that was released earlier this year, wasn't it?)

Excellent rundown Vas! This one looks pretty good. Might have to pick one up. Still don't like the lack of parts support and distribution in the US. Only small hobby shops and eBay seem to have Corally trucks

for the futur or optional part, a real front bumper would be a nice addition with that muscle car body also I'm sure you can put the new hobbywing 4990 motor with the rectangle hole under the motor mount.

The comment about the protective tape is completely fine as far as I'm concerned. A lot of bashers on KZbin might immediately take their cars to the skate park and send their RCs to the moon, but I don't think it's representative of the majority. Or is that naive? I would guess that most people would be relatively cautious with their brand new RCs. Car bodies can be quite expensive and tape helps to protect that. In addition to that I hope that RC companies keep in mind that there are 'normal' bashers as well so that they don't create unnecessary heavy and expensive cars. The only things what my cars suffer from is a worn drivetrain and/or bearings most of the time. Not bending chassis or broken A-arms.

Oh, nice touch Team Corally! That's the Absima CR2S V2 transmitter, Very good range, decent batteries longevity and good feeling in hand. The car itself looks great! The foam under the body roof is appreciated in case it flips over at speed or from a certain height and overall the vehicle looks sturdy, tough, well made. I think i'm gonna get one. Thanks for your hard work making these videos, sir and giving the hobbyst great info on the models you review. Keep it up!

💭🤔You cannot run double packs out of the Kawama one battery always comes loose, which would cause your ESC to burn up or even catch fire. You won’t know that you still be driving and your pack will be loose. Plug has a habit of coming out if you’re driving one pack, and still burn it up just something consider🤷🏽‍♂️ just saying

I had to find out the hallway. You also need better front and rear bumpers to protect your shark towers. It also needs a woolly bar. It will help protect the wing from breaking so easy and they need to start installing 17 mm screw wrenches.

Wishlist: 1. better radio, if anything a DumboRC radio; it can use the lanyard, it has ludicrous range, it has a throttle DR and has a gyro in the receiver. Might not be needed in such a big car but... never say never. 2. Lights! Sounds silly, but think about the Team Magic E5 (yes I just got mine, only need to paint the body!) and E6, they have lights and it's so much easier to see them, especially from afar and in the dark. I usually go RC-ing late in the evening, sometimes in the night if I go to the skate park. Lights are mandatory, plus they look cool AF. 3: team Corally should fix their website, it's in a desperate need of a tech overhaul, this is a professional opinion, I work in the field 😅

Yeah, lights could be cool. Or at least have provisions for them. Not everyone needs them or wants them. I definitely appreciate TM including them in their cars, but personally, it's not something I would miss if they stopped doing it. But that's just me. I totally get your situation and why lights on an RC matter to you. The radio throttle D/R thing is a minor thing as the same (or similar) results can be had by using a 4S or even a 3S battery. However, it's nowhere near as convenient. The important thing is that the radio works properly and doesn't have the issues that the old Spektrum ones had about 3 years ago. As long as it has a solid connection, good range and minimal lag, all is good. The website thing... Yeah, no arguments from me there. That site could definitely use some tweaking. 😏

The Team Corally catalog is starting to get a little chaotic. They are like many times the same cars with different bodies and small technical differences. I thought when they announced the launch and after having the Asuga that it is something different and very striking that they would release something in 1/5 or 1/6 truggy or monster. For the rest, it is a brand that I really like.

It's actually not as bad as it seems. The asuga kagama and now spark are all the latest 2023 models. Everything else is previous generation. There will be full-on stunt monster truck coming soon I'm sure to round out the lineup.

Oh that was my comment about the radio not having a limiter 🤩. My wishlist would be the radio, serrated wheel nuts, Corally upgraded battery straps which they now sell as an upgrade, tape on inside of the body and shock tower covers to protect the body, nothing major though

Highly unlikely we will ever see sensored ESCs in RTR basher vehicles like this. Maybe we might see them in RCs designed for and targeted for racers and/or crawlers, but for even the hardcore bashers it is completely unnecessary and the extra cost would have no benefit.

Right like do rc said let me reiterate. The original arrmas needed a t2t or a m2 chassis which came out later . Any joe with decent skills can send this suca out of the box . These electronics are bar none the best rtr in the business for bashing also , yes they’re just making small improvements nothing innovative

It's a valid question and I'm not sure I know what the answer is to that. It seems to be industry standard across all brands that the chassis is about 3mm thick and then bracing does the rest. My guess would be mainly cost. 🤷‍♂️ The chassis gets thicker, it also gets heavier, hardware gets longer which adds even more weight and then there's the cost of manufacturing the chassis itself. I don't know, but that would be my guess...

Aside from durability, those are 3 very different cars. It depends what type of driving you're going to be doing and where. The Savage is great, but you'd wanna stick to 4S as 6S makes the thing basically undrivable and you're almost certainly going to break something during that first 6S pack. The Shogun is great and handles really well, but if you're gonna do big sends, be prepared for the centre braces to break. The Typhon is probably the toughest of the three and flies through the air like an eagle, but tall grass and rough terrain makes it difficult to drive. Buggies are like F1 cars for off-road, so it's easy to unsettle the car on bumpy surfaces. Not sure if any of that helps, but maybe it'll point you in the right direction. For the antenna tube caps I find a small piece of marine heat shrink on the end of the tube then slip the cap over the heat shrink and they stay on really good. If it is outside the body it will wear down before it comes off lol

They need to revamp their receiver box and shock adjustment rings. Shock rings are always hanging up after getting dirty. Having to remove the entire receiver box is a pain for any switch-ups. Im used to it, but c'mon! Did they change their diff case plastics? Those always strip.Thanks for the review man! I own the majority of their prior revisions. Waiting for them to address more issues!

Looking forward to seeing you run that beast! One thing I would like to see TC to improve upon is their plastic compound, as it still isn't up to the quality like traxxas. And maybe a better radio. Other than that they have come a long wayand improved their cars much faster than Arrma did all these years ago.

yep. I broke so many rear a arms on the Kronos xtr at the same point, shredded at the hinge pin even after a week of impregnation of oil.

I've not had any issues with the arms, I think I've only broken 1 in the Radix6 (or maybe it was the Python) but I have broken my fair share of plastic chassis braces. The new design of the braces and the beefed up arms should solve those issues, though.
