I love that Carlo is doing things when the wife is gone. He's putting his own stamp on the house and he's being creative all on his own. LOVE IT - keep it up Carlo!!!! The porch turned out amazing. The chairs..I would paint the wood and change the covers and add pillows. This is a perfect lesson to all of us that we need to let go of control and let others flourish in their own way vs our way.

It's Carlos first house that is really his, same for Nicki? The house in Positano, I think is owned by his family? The low wall turns the covered terrace into a beautiful, cozy surround. It looks like it was there forever. Nicki, maybe just a little controlling? Ya theenk? Just redo the cushions, maybe refinish the wood? So gratifying for Carlo, he can get things done without the old lady trying to boss him around.

I have to say @NickiPositano I am very impressed by the viewer engagement on this video. Quite the hornet’s nest and a very clever way to get the viewers commenting and communicating. True, it has come at your expense, however I appreciate your courage at sharing your lives so openly and honestly. There are countless perfectly curated and overly positive KZbin videos which often show only the highlights reel of a life but your lives in these videos are documented in ways many long lasting couples can relate to. We’re all capable of each and every trait and while positive comments have gone Carlo’s way I have no doubt the sweetest and softest part of Nicki is reserved for him, not to people please viewers. You two crack me up. When the cat's away the mice will play. When Carlos leaves the handrail disappears, and when Nicky's away the patio furniture appears. I think used and refurbished outdoor furniture is ideal because no matter what you spend, the weather always degrades it and it has to be replaced. This way you don't have to spend a fortune every time. I think with a coat of outdoor paint, maybe a sage green and a lighter color green cushion, you could add throw pillows with splashes of terra cotta and green and you will have a lovely, cozy, outdoor space. That little housewares store you visited had some great ideas. Love your videos. Caio for now.

I am one of those women who is “lucky” to be married to a “Carlo”. I hear all the time how I’m lucky. They have been together for 20 yrs , We only see part of their life, part of their communications. part of their conversations about plans, feelings etc etc. The comment section is out of hand. Love your house in Tuscany and Carlo's dog station is really good. I discovered your cannel when you met Julie The amazing Viscountess. Your blog today made me slightly homesick for UK as I lived 50 years at Kingston upon Thames and the week ends we used to go and eat in the White Horse in Shere and also other Surrey villages. Don't leave the wood alone! It needs UV & rain protection. Personally I like the dark wood but maybe not the shiny. The cushions need water resistant fabric though

plastic looking wood . It was left unsold in the junk shop for months and months for a very good reason . Def not a bargain if u have to spend time & money painting , weather proofing and re-upholstering . Italian design can be either exquisite & tasteful or bog standard ugly and this one is def the latter .

You are so fortunate to have Carlo who can do so many things and he does have an eye for decorating and designing. The furniture he bought I rather like, its vintage and if you change the cushions first then see how you like it, you might just add some outdoor throw pillows to give it a little more rather than painting the beautiful dark wood, which I find actually goes well with the wall color - which you mentioned you will be painting the house a shade lighter than. Don't be disturbed by Carlo doing things without you, we don't always need to be in control, but embrace that he actually has an eye and vision that can melt in with yours.

Wow...there are some really strong comments here. Overall, I wish some of your viewers would employ a little more humor and a lot less judgment in their assessments; especially regarding your relationship. As married partners, I assume you both recognize each others strengths and weaknesses.I actually find it refreshing that you both are so "real" on screen, when so many feel they have to put on a facade. It's not unusual for couples to delegate and divide overall aesthetic design vs. other types of contributions when renovating a home. The dynamics of a couple are unique to them. Obviously, Nicki and Carlo have been together for many years, and they will be together and in love for a thousand more. Once the cushions are reupholstered they will be beautiful. My parents have that set in their porch and it’s so comfy. My mom chose a beautiful floral fabric and you focus on the pattern of the fabric and don’t notice the wood color. Add gorgeous pillows and a pretty throw and it will be perfect.

I’m sure Nicki is not “mad” at all…just joking a bit about things that got done or purchased differently than they BOTH agreed. There is this phenomenon that other women try to remind you of how wonderful your husband is, almost shaking a finger at you to pay attention before they snatch him up, when you know perfectly well he’s a gem and you do appreciate him. My husband and I owned a business together. We could both be working equally hard and other women would “coo” over him constantly and talk about all that he did, and overlook my equal contributions. Carlo is wonderful, but the truth is they are an equal and wonderful TEAM. ❤❤

yes -- paint the furniture sage green (like the trim on that little shop in shear Uk, ) and put on some cream colored or floral pillows ... you need some cream and beige or creamy green in that mixture of wood and ahem, pink fabric and paint

Too funny about the seating Carlo got. When Carlo showed off that seating set, first thing I thought was how I didn’t think that went along with style you were shooting for. Lol! You’ll make it work! I do love the new entry wall! What a change it makes. More like a dedicated entrance. Love the dog washing station too!

The terrace looks amazing and the furniture is not ugly. Very classic! Maybe a coat of olive color paint and nice cushions. Carlo is so proud. He’s amazing.

Reading these comments today, thru Nicki's ( and even Carlo's eyes) is making me sad. Imagine having ur channel and ev1 is praising ur partner and berating you??? She's filming, editing, shopping for a new home, renovating, painting, being a mommy to 3, a lover to Carlo, cooking, cleaning, exposing a part of her life to THE PEANUT GALLERY😂 It can't be easy!!! We all know Carlo LOVES Nicki! A LOT!!!! So he's not going to be thrilled about mean comments either, even if those comments paint him as the Adonis and she as medusa or whatever. He loves her so much these comments hurt him too. I dont know Nicki but I GET her. She reminds me of me in some way which is what attracted me to the channel in the first place Let's be kind She doesnt always show Carlo in a bad light, so all we see for the most part is him being the GOAT. Obviously like longterm relationships where 2 ppl love each other, u will have fights or ppl who are comfortable being honest with their likes/dislikes The camera rolling makes ppl act slightly different also. My 2 cents is getting very long tho I, as an empath, could say more about the sense I get, suffice it to say Nicki and Carlo, you are loved May God strengthen your bond, may you enjoy your lives wherever u are, whatever u do. The patio furniture that Carlo bought can be painted red or peach colour and will look wonderful, it weathered and should last more than you think, plus they are comfortable pieces, the new entrance that Carlo built makes the house look amazing, how lucky to have someone that can build anything…❤

Carlo has done an amazing job while Nikki was away. The patio couch and chairs are perfect and the wood color works well for outdoors. Not everything needs to be repainted. The red cushion covers look great! Great job Carlo, I hope you continue putting your personal touches on your Tuscany home.
