This Character Died 3 Times and Was Cut From Transformers 2. 1 of the most interesting things about the Transformers film franchise is seeing who's gonna make the roster. And we've seen classics as well as lesser known characters grace the silver screen. But not every robot is lucky enough to leave the cutting room floor. 1 such character is Breakaway. The aerial bot who was featuring all of the promotions for Transformers 2. He was supposed to appear in the movie at one point and even had concept art that went under the name Firestorm. Funny enough he died in all of the tie-in content for the movie. He died at the hands of Soundwave after refusing to leave when Soundwave asked him to. In the Revenge of the Fallen video game he was killed by Starscream during a mission to rescue Director Gallaway. And he was brought back only to be killed yet again by Starscream during a mission to protect Autobot cargo from the Decepticon seeker.

There are also comics. We can't say she is bad as we don't see her enough to judge her fully

I- I'm gonna be that guy. Barricade never died in the first movie. I dare say he was hiding during the second movie. He played dead when he and the Decepticons got jumped in Chicago, went into hiding AGAIN during the fourth movie and then came back during the fifth movie. To assume that someone like Barricade had died off screen is a huge mistake. Bayverse Barricade is a survivalist and highly tactical. When he's alone and left to his own devices.

I personally don't think that Breakaway died. In the Revenge of the Fallen video game, he was recovered by his fellow Autobots after being defeated by Grindor. In the IDW comics, he was shot by Soundwave. And then, being defeated by Starscream in the Dark of the Moon video game. Apparently, he had Bumblebee's ability to put himself back together!

He also appears in the transformers 2 ds game. Basically what happened was that the Deceptacon version of the game they needed a flyer for an oil rig level. the games have the same maps and levels but different characters so they chose starscream. however the autobot version didn’t have a idea for who could be at the oil rig level that was in the movie. So they brought in breakaway for that one level (technically 2) but that was it. He didn’t even get to have a voice. It’s sad that this character was slept on. He really seems like a good addition to the autobots.
