In 5th grade, Nicte Aguillon Jimenez started learning English as a second language. Over the years, she always felt there was an asymmetry in the information available in different languages.
Along with attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Nicte has been working with the African Languages Lab (All Lab) - in collaboration with the nonprofit organizations CARE and Days for Girls - to create a conversational chatbot that answers menstrual health questions, both biological and social.
Winner of our 2023 #OZYGenius Awards in partnership with AT&T, Nicte joins 11 other geniuses from across the country, all working to change the world.
