You know what bugs me is people always assume that one the Mercy is the one being carried and 2 that they will automatically pocket a duo. I never pocket people unless it's just me and them on point (EDIT: Or during certain ults). Also why can't it be that the Mercy is helping to boost DPS friend? Why can't it be the person is like man healers not healing me in games I bet I could climb if they did. EDIT: Also why does one have to carry the other at all? Why can't it be a mutually beneficial duo? If say Flats and Emogg duo would someone say one is carrying the other? No.

The whole purpose of mercy is to use her damage boost and pocket dps. That's why we all assume she's gonna pocket the duo. If mercy's aren't pocketing with dmg boost, they aren't playing them correctly. And ppl don't say that the mercy is boosting bc she's not a carry hero. Yes she can heal but healing isn't gonna outheal dmg so she isn't boosting ppl when the rest of them team has to get the kills.

Like, so what you have to realize is that these aimbots are programed to work under normal OW2 rulesets. So, if you go high gravity then it's preprogrammed tracking doesn't know WTF to do an will create those weird lagging spikes. Also, it wasn't hitting the head shots because the new crop of aimbots have aim priority set to body instead of head so they're not as sus. Also, and this is gonna infuriate a lot of player, but the reporting system literally does nothing. Blizzard isn't banning accounts, their anti-cheat is banning hardware ids. Which these cheat programs can bypass by spoofing. Now there def has been cheaters who got their accounts permabanned, but I'm guessing it's a small numeber. I can just see the comments now. Ya'll will probably be accusing me of cheating too because why else would someone know this much about it unless they use it to, right? So the reason is, I've had one too many seasons ruined by this shit an clearly whatever Blizz was doing to stop it wasn't working. So I've decided to look into possibly developing my own anti-cheat software (plus I'm a coding nerd with a background in related fields of cybersecuirty). Man. lemme tell you. It is a fuckin CRAZY interesting rabbit hole to go down and once you start, you quickly begin to realize that preventing these new generation of cheaters is WAY more complicated and almost impossible than anyone realizes. I was actually gonna try to make a video or two about this topic, but I suck at content creation and have literally no online presence, so what's the point making educational videos on it if no one is gonna see it. But I'll gladly rant here in the comments if anyone has questions or wants to know exactly how cheaters can be countered (in some cases without even using anti-cheat software). They're only getting more advanced too, and lemme tell you guys. The ones you see here in videos like these, these are nothing. These are the cheap cheats. Wait till the fuckers start flowing in with the actual cheats. There is one that can tell if you're aiming at them an auto dodge your abilities, or like in the case of the orisa bot, it's reaction time is so fast it can spear an ana to prevent her casting a sleep dart it's so fast an automatic. It makes me scared for the future of gaming.

@@knyt0 yes an no. It's a lil bit more complicated than that. The projectile is using the same lock on code formula as the hitscan, it's just using to doing it faster (edit: sorry, tired af an been pulling an all nighter, strike that reverse it). This is how it can predict movements with the data it's intercepting from the raytracing and allow it to stay on the head/body etc. Now yes, you CAN change that in the options, but it's not on by default an honestly I don't think half the people who are using these even KNOW there is options and settings judging by just how effing bad their game sense is.

Wait, so these new cheats are using the GPU encoder to actually know where to lock? I thought most of them were basically like a screen record where it'll detect using a dummed down facial recognition software or something then relay that to the software thats actually controlling the aim. I say different softwares but it would be under the same software but like in a different "instance" of the software.

​@@sparquisdesade That guy's cheats are not as complicated as you think they are. Literally just scanning for colours. It's why it even targetted the Dva on their own team and only shot bodies, no headshots. Game's memory isn't being touched so can't read data on who's on what team or what hero they're even firing at (which is important for headshots). Harder to detect and easier to make, but a whole lot more jank. As for the comment on advanced cheats, they do exist. Just not yet publically for Overwatch afaik (might be some who are developing them in private rn which is what you might have seen). You see them all over the place in games like Roblox where cheating has been rampant for years. Give it time and yeah, they'll come unfortunately.

@@whiskerspricey If you're referring to NVDEC, it's just another way of doing screen recording but using your GPU. It's the same result at the end of the day, you get an image of the game which you process in a number of possible ways. The method you are mentioning is computer vision/image classification. It's a much harder method than you think as you need images of all heroes from multiple angles in different lighting conditions. If you're going that far, you might as well just hook into the game's memory and continue from there. The most common method using a screen recording is just to use colours as it's quick and easy to implement while getting similar results to computer vision. Downside is basically no chance of doing headshots with heroes of multiple sizes like Overwatch has. (Feel I need to mention, I do not make/use cheats for Overwatch. I have experience making cheats for smaller games many years ago when I was younger.)

I haven't played ranked all OW2 because the system sucks but I get these guys in QP ALL THE TIME. I always get a lot of Diamond to top 500 in my QP games (they don't lock their profiles) so I don't think twice but then there will be a flick or a sus shot where they're locking onto someone behind a wall or just crazy impossible shots and I'm like, this dude's cheating. Every 4-5 games or so. It's gotten a bit ridiculous in OW2. Kinda like it was in the last season of OW1.
