One of the best reviews of a Fiesta I've seen. I've owned my Fiesta since 2011 when it was new and it's all-round the best of all of the 10 cars I've owned over the past 55 years. Other than the initial problems with the clutch and transmission that occured early on, it's been dependable and very comfortable. Too bad Ford stopped selling them in the USA. Thank you.

Great review. You went easy. If you get into her, you can bring the back end around like a rwd car and can drift round abouts. Turn off stability control for maximum fun.

Yup. There is no other car that is this fun to drive anywhere near the price point. The Abarth couldn't touch it, neither could the Focus ST. You have to drive one to get it. The FiST has the right nickname. It packs a punch. It's not fast, but it's fast enough to be fun. 4 wheel discs, sport suspension and 17s on an econobox. It stops being an econobox and starts being fun to drive, even with just the base engine, but you get more than that. The 1.6 turbo is a workhorse that powered SUVs, vans and the Taurus. Put it in a 2750 lb. car, give it around 200 hp/tq, and you've got a hot hatch. Not that quick in a straight line, but lots of fun in the curves. Ford rallied these cars and won. The April/May 2024 Road and Track magazine was titled "The 20 Greatest Cars We've Ever Driven." The Fiesta ST was on that list. The only other Ford was the GT. It's just a magazine, but that's a hell of an endorsement from a seriously qualified crowd of car enthusiasts. The GT and the FiST. 2 of the 20 Greatest. Ford's most exotic race car and a hot hatch they did right. Congrats to Ford for getting 10% of the greatest cars!

Been in my little jellybean for 4 years. I maintain that if your primary ask in a car is "rally car for the road", this should be on your Must Drive list. It's not as fast as some of the usual suspects in that query, but this wakes up and stretches, then Main Character Runs you wherever you're going with a twitch of your right foot. It's the kind of car that is, speaking from experience, ALWAYS one impulsive thought away from forcing you into a big stupid grin. And it reliably gets 30mpg anywhere below "actively seeking speeding ticket". Genuinely, what more could you ask for?

Just got mine too, 2016 - Artic White, Mountune'd from Factory - 48k miles - cost me £9.9k, FSH. I bloody love it. I have had to spend right off the bat another £500 for Ghost Immobilizer though, as they're one of the most stolen cars here in the UK.

I have one of these with similar modifications, but stock suspension and a limited-slip diff. I only see torque steer if I really mash the throttle while cornering, otherwise I never see it. But I definitely feel like Miata comparison. You tell it to go around a corner and it just does it. I went from an LS-powered GTO to this and it's way more fun than the GTO. The only car I've ever had that was as fun was my 1991 MR2, but the Fiesta isn't secretly planning on spinning off the road at any given moment.

Lmaoo yes much safer than an MR2. However MR2s are so fun. I just picked up an ae86 with a 4AGE and it’s so so fun

There are solutions for torque steer. This chassis benefits greatly from bracing!

Hi! Any info about suspension and wheel setup on this Fiesta ST?

from the owner- BC coilovers and the wheels are Rota wheels, 17x 7.5 or 8.5 "i cant remember" also theyre unsure of the offset. hope this helps a little !

I remember when they came out I really wanted one! I wound up buying the Fiat 500 Abarth instead. The only unfortunate thing about these Fiesta's is that they rust so easily.. for such new cars.. it's unfortunate :(

@@kaoriisdriving yeah I’ve heard from many that being a Con I have an 18 and live in Cali so that’s something that haven’t really happen nor will more then like not happen to me🤷🏼‍♀️ But overall very fun and cheap to maintain care overall😁
