Nice. So what should be done if while setting a 5in long hairline crack develops before contractor returns to remove the forms? I'm being told "it happens sometimes and he'll fix it" when he comes back? Should I expect a complete repour? Or a reduced prices if he "fixes" it and I keep it? Warranty etc? Thanks. He did the whole cap in a couple ours and left it uncovered from noon onwards.portand cement

@@SimplifiedTruth it happens because it was not done properly. Should be repoured. If not it’s right back to having problems it had in the first place.

@@Cam.Cooper have a feeling hes not going to want to repour it obviously. If we do a "repair" would a price reduction and a 5-10 warranty be reasonable? this was a cap replacement only. 1k$

@@SimplifiedTruth it could be if it was resurfaced properly. Just one of those things you’ll have to make sure is maintained and checked every year before the winter. If he didn’t do any expansion joint, the flues will continue to move and possibly crack it more as time goes on.
