But then you put your foot in it with your language grasp. Damn Tommy to say you're amazing is an understatement. I dont believe anyone at the UN could outdo your polyglot level. Then, by the admission of even native chinese , many say they are not as good. Your humility and wit , pleasantry, and people skills puts you in a class by yourself. Tommy, you literally should run an international lecture series where you inform and entertain hefty audiences for a well deserved speaking fee. Bro EVERYONE would go see you!! There's a reason you got to 500k, although someone else implied you may have been shadow banned because other vloggers who just throw the one simple language around, are courting millions of subs. Tbh tho to jump from 20k in March 2021 when I first saw you in Tanzania to 500k in September 2023 is still a respectable climb. Bro i know you could skate on the youtube funds alone but if it wont be a hindrance consider having these meetups . In an academic setting of your choosing would be awesome. Many low-end manufacturing factories have gone bankrupt, because China is already a base for mid-to-high-end products, and most of the low-end factories have moved to Southeast Asia, China Some low-end factories have been retained, but they are basically fully automated. The West should feel the crisis. Why do you say China is collapsing? Maybe those reporters don’t even have the brains. You have to know that even if the West bans all Chinese products, the Chinese will still make money. Money, because most of the owners of low-end factories in Southeast Asia are Chinese. 😂, so I can only say that Western politicians are basically idiots.

#26:30 These little awnings are known as The Five-Foot-Way 'verandah', a legacy of British Architecture and Town Planning in Singapore and Malatya, was first mandated by Stamford Raffles as part of his 1822 Town Plan of Singapore. This concept was then brought back to Southern China by returnees of Cantonese, Hokkien and Teochew descent and has been fairly common in Guangdong and Fujian..

Five-foot way It's a Dutch system, still in use in Holland and Indonesia, Dutch East India Company, Batavia ! Not British at all, forget the Redcoats, why so evil ?

An interesting fact I found at knock off goods markets in ShenZhen and Shanghai, is that at least 50% customers are foreigners....That's the case about 7-10 years ago when I visited there.

It's refreshing to hear you speak Cantonese. One of the few languages you manage to speak that I can (barely) understand lol.

if you're still in china, you should go to Yangshuo / Guillin, it has these nice mountains. When you're there there is a language school called Omeida, they're great

In cities like Shanghai or Guangzhou, if you see the elder line up, that's a good (probably cheap too) place for food.

i randomly found your channel tonight. this is only the second video i've watched, but you definitely got the juice. forreal. your demeanor is non invasive, while standing out like a sore thumb. cool. calm. collected. you remind me of one of the homies i grew up with in the PNW. glad i found you, after finding out Bald & Bankrupt is a weird sex tourist creep.
