The place have undergone a series of significant and creative improvements since the last few years ago when my wife and I visited that quaint spot in Pasay just fronting the NAIA3 Airport Terminal. Keep us always interested and amazed of your every day little 'discoveries' and experiences. I first came across Mergim Vlogs a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for videos about Bantayan Island as my friends and I are going there this October. I'd just like to say that, not only do you make well-researched vlogs, but compared to other KZbinrs who have similar content as yours, your vlogs are more interesting and fun to watch because you interact with locals and you immerse yourself to the Filipino way of living, just like that time when you took a ferry to Bantayan Island at 1AM and slept on a bunk bed. Classy Casino. Up the escalator to the 2nd floor and that blew me away. Makes our Star City Casino in Sydney Oz look sub-standard in comparison. The Newport Mall really nice and again, way better than what we have here. Thanks for sharing Mergim. 😀

I've been to Sydney and non like that you can find there. Their malls and casinos looks basic. Even my aussie bf who visited here and stayed at Oakada said even their most luxurious 5 star hotels in Sydney is doesn't compare like Okada lols.

What a spectacular ride with Mergim descriptively showing the grandeur of architectural construction marvels around Newport City. This quaint place was actually where I grew up, the casino spot was actually where my high school stood called Pasay City South High part of the 3 City high schools, East and West. The campus was huge with boundary near St Therese’s church going up north alongside another school PAFCA Phil Air Force College of Aeronautics next beside a man made lagoon, where with my peers swam a lot after class then along side was the Nichols Air Base elementary school also with big campus reaching to the statue point road intersection. Sorry for reminiscing my carefree youthful vagabond-like experience journeys. Glad you feature my once hometown. Love 💕 it

@@sumoblues I wonder myself. Perhaps he doesn’t regularly use click bait. Or doesn’t use the opposite sex for eye candy. Or doesn’t readily show what is already obvious to viewers. I think the You Tube audience wants validation rather than reports. I like Mergim because he is articulate and tries very hard not to insult my intelligence. I wish him luck and hope that many more people will click and subscribe for the reasons why I have.

I never noticed those charging ports in the seats. Glad I now know. There must be an event (for those vintage cars) coz they’re not usually there. Also, they change their decors from time to time. If you view others’ videos from years back, the mall’s decors would be different. Not sure if you noticed how good it smells by the lobby of the cinema. They use those scent humidifiers- maybe same thing as near the casino area.

So many good memories I got from this country, this city... I went to that mall on the second to last day. I saw a movie related to an old president that had abandon the presidency by force back in the 80s, I believe the movie was about the president Marcos. It was just a little bit more of piece of history I learnt about this beautiful country. I plan to come back someday, miss it so much...

A trivia, tha mall is also connected to marriott hotel and maxims ( same line of building. Theres 2 more hotels but not of the same line) also thes the NPAT or the Newport performing arts theatre, a theatre where they perform concerts and musicals and can seat up to 4000 ! But i dont think NPAT is open at this time.

I always stay at the Hilton in Newport (which is conveniently connected to Resorts World Casino) since it's close to the international airport... like 5-10 minutes by taxi to be exact.
