You should go yo the Hindu/ Buddhist temple complex in Anaradapura. It's breathtaking - you can cycle around and see monkeys and bats and the most impressive temples and statues.

In Jaffna, people do not depend on tourism, so they show less interest in tourists, unlike in the south. use whatever facilities are available. Most of the people left for foreign countries after the Civil War. The once bustling city now has a tiny population.800,000 has become 300,000.

@@Slxlanka9930 it's mostly about fairness. I understand they give it a try. But for a 5-7min drive if they ask a tourist 400 we have a problem. The apps say 250. I settled for 320 but could have asked for even less.
