Everyone knows about Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, but did you know just one hour before that event, the Japanese landed here - just north of here on Malaya? (Kota Bharu). A fierce battle ensued on the beach. It included many of the Indian soldiers forced into WWII by the British colonizers of India at that time. You gotta visit there.

Nah, the vast majority of our meat supplier is halal even for non-halal restaurants unless its pork. Just ask the restaurant if they use halal ingredients, especially if its a restaurant like Hoi Yin where there's clearly no pork sold. They usually cater to Muslim needs, especially in Malay dense areas. What you wanna watch for is cooking wine and lard. Two things that are never a staple in Mi Kari recipes anyway. Halal certification is extremely difficuly to get even for muslim restuarants. Stop making life hard for yourselves and just ask the workers.

. in Malaysia, if you see a person wearing a hijab eating at a non-Muslim restaurant, it is not necessarily Halal. Many veiled people come from Indonesia who don't care about halal and haram in their country. In Malaysia, a restaurant is halal if it has a Halal certificate from the Malaysian Government like this Logo. Hope you will understand ok and be more careful ok.
