Like some people who collect rare coins, fighting the urge to clean them to make them more prentable/add value isnt the thing to do. The same goes go for clock cases when you restore them too heavily, it takes away from the originality/value of the piece.....

Haaaah, we all know the poor wife is going to get an earful on the drive home, for sending that dirty old clock out to be polished up and made to look new again... lesson learned folks!
