Pouya made $outh $ide $uicide back in 2015 with $uicideboy$ and got them popularity with that. They've been riding a steady upwards curve since then and I suppose you can attribute their popularity to Pouya, since he had a big following in the underground scene at the time of $outh $ide $uicide.
