Well, I have 16 expanded decks and a good comunity in my LCGS, and we quite enjoy the format.

@@Aimnoos We try to dig and create new and powerfull strategies from the whole depth of expanded. I also play Magic the Gathering, so expanded is like pioneer or modern light for me about card depth. We are about 10 players for the expanded format, each one with at least 5 decks, not many repeated decks too, so, we have about 45/50 diferent viable archetypes. It is quite the nice format. In the case of this donk deck, well, you have to either counter it with a full lock deck or you have to cry it out XD It is just too broken.

Ever since dusclops and dusknoir release in Shrouded fable set, the expanded format is in chaos thanks to the duskull from cosmic eclipse that has the ability to evolve into dusclops regardless who got the first turn or not. I might as well think that this will also implement to tcg live just like what they did to scoop-up net

My favorite card to put in any deck like this is marshadow gx as u can use any basic pokemon attack and a counter gain as u can use mews attack to use ur opponents attacks and hit for weakness

Id argue that this is easier than modern yugioh. Modern yugioh has a lot of OTKs for sure, but this is FTK status. Most ftks in yugioh require convoluted strategies with niche resource loops.

I really wish real expanded was on live so we had life dew and Exeggcute , it makes the deck 10000% times better. The ban isnt even necessary in america since hardly anyone plays it. That is unless they bring back expanded regionals.....

@@rishiy6183 because it allows you to use dusc's ability without your opponent taking prizes. Plus there is a rod in expanded which lets you shuffle a tool and pokemon into your deck from discard so it can be reused a lot. It basically allows you to use more than 6 dusc abilities in one game making it extremely easy to win.

Yugioh does have bans though? A lot more actually. The whole power level of yugioh is just much higher than pokemon you can't expect yugioh to conduct bans that fit pokemon standards

I use duskull with some decks that needs discards like united wings or other then use dusclops but this is not consistent cause of you giving free prizes (w/o Ursula) and damage. But this is broken as hell 😭😂

TPCi definitely forgot about expanded. The only reason they banned Duskull is because it got banned over in Japan and we saw the same thing happen with scoop up net too. Expanded is still not playable in Live after 2.5 years and we don't know if it ever will be. Meanwhile the expanded scene in Japan is thriving and there was a tournament earlier this year with 700+ players.

I am not aware but did they ever change a card post release? It is a physical thing too I don't think they'd ever change text on card after its out and have it be different from the physical copy. I have learned to not get frustrated at broken cards simply cause there is no such thing as a nerf or patch, they will simply never be changed.

No they didn't have to ban duskull. If they had any brains, they would ban dusclops. Duskull is useless without dusclops. But duskull is useful in many other decks. You want to stop the donk? Ban dusclops instead.
