The coolest thing about this video, isn’t the fishing, it isn’t even the amazing transition, the sick drone footage, or the dope graphics…the best part is how we can feel your frustration through the lens. How you swallowed your pride and overcame your obstacles. I’ve said it before, I don’t know how you aren’t yet at one millions subs. Cmon KZbin, put this guy to the top of everyone’s feed!!!

Fisherman supposedly go through stages. Stage 1 - I just want to catch a fish. Stage 2 - I want to catch a lot of fish Stage 3 - I want to catch a big fish Stage 4 - repeats 1-3 but want to catch fish the way I want to catch fish. I've gone through these steps and had a similar result as you. Congratulations on realizing it and making the sensible decision to change tactics, I haven't always been so smart. Great Vid, I like the longer format with a narrative.

I've painted lures...lots. if you want a thin blue line or red or green ect. Hang it from top and bottom with the back facing you. Paint the base color (belly) then a wide section of the back blue, green ect...then a small stipe of black down the back almost completely covering the blue,green. I used paint cans and ut worked great. Great lure you made by the way.

I’m taking a class on fish behavior rn, we were going over the neurological pathways in predatory fish that are behind their reactions to different stimuli. Turns out what is explained at 2:35 is EXACTLY what is thought before they eat.

at 33 years old for me i have learned it comes down to matching the hatch. If the shad are running throw the big baits, if the shrimp are in throw shrimp. match whatever is in and you will have the best outcome.

It's crazy how as fisherman we (selfishly) believe that our personal agenda is what the fish should/will adhere to. Love this video not only for the insanely good editing but also for the message.

I really enjoy your videos especially watching you use bait casters which give better control when hooking big fish and accurate casting . In the 1970s I was addicted to Bass fishing the Garacia ambassador 5000 series made in Sweden was the best product for casting spinners and plugs. I still use bait casters for surf fishing here in Florida.

I catch the biggest fish on small swim baits and tiny jig heads ( 1/16 and smaller ) and 4-6lb test. The way I see it is the big fish see the small bait as an easy meal that they can’t pass up as easily as a larger bait that could put up a chase.

I'm going through a similar process at the moment. Started fishing with glides and big baits in saltwater here in the Spanish coast, thus with different results. Each time I used them I hooked fish, either bluefish, European seabass or bonito. As you perceived they are not solely aiming at big fish, small guys will take a 20cm glidebait without thinking about it too much. I have the believe that it makes sense to use them in SW, now in winter, when small baitfish disappear, maybe even with better chances. When I started watching the video I imagined you would have a blast, especially with all the predators available there, so I was surprised with the outcome. Maybe they work better in larger bodies of water, not so skinny. Anyway, the video is way cool ❤

Dangit man you were fishing in my town on a lake here. Whattt that would've been sweet to bump into you out there lol. That lake is very high pressured and it seems all or most the big fish out of there are caught of the ledges and out deep. The canals can produce alot of fish but mostly dinks lol. Alot of better not as known lakes in the area.

Did anyone else see the lady fish or whatever fish it was @6:58 jump out of the water? It was while he was fighting the little jack, it was probably being chased by a 30” snook lmao
@rbuzaki Жыл бұрын
you have to have the right mindset to use big baits...I've fished 5"+ paddletails next to a buddy throwing a 3" paddletail and he'll get a few dozen fish to my 3 or 4 but those fish are usually bigger than the slot sized reds/trout he'll get...another added benefit is i can outcast a 3" so you can cover more water fishing the flats which will end up leading to more quality fish
