Hii! I'm the 4th person who sings in Moon Halo :) Here to add some context about how it happened, for anyone who's curious If you use hoyolab, you might be aware that they hold fanart contests quite often. This one in particular was specifically for a cappella covers of the song. We were given very little information about how it was going to be used, all we knew was we had to record it with no music and with a simple background. People voted as usual and the first few places got in game prizes as well as the larger spots in the final video (i got 2nd place iirc, and the winner was Nata, the 2nd singer. They interviewed her in a honkai documentary bc of it). We then had to sign a consent form because "it might be used in a livestream" Funny thing is, i had no clue I was in the concert until a week later when a friend was like ???????? Is this you?????? It was even a surprise for those in it. They love their community so much, it was truly such a special experience

YOU SOUNDED AMAZING!! I just went back and listened to your part again and wow you really got a great voice. I'm familiar with their fan art contests and usually it's always an art one so I've never seen a singing one before but it's heartwarming how they used all these submissions for the actual concert. The reason why Zhou Shen, the singer of Rubia, hasn't been in all 3 of the concerts is because he is an A-list celebrity in China so its hard to get him to perform in a small concert like these. His schedule must be packed.

A conductor pretty much syncs all the instruments and controls individual volume and tone. This is important, because when you're sitting in a loud ass stage trying to play your part in a sea of instruments, it's easy to botch your timing. You could also say he's the DJ.

This is heartfelt because this concert was around the period where Honkai 3rd was at the most heartfelt part of the story Kiana and co growth Elysia backstory and all that leads to Kiana current future, and why they even have a future this far ahead to begin with. Their sacrifices. And its also a thank you for everyone who made it this far and supporting them and the game this far It was an emotional milestone. The previous one with insane AR tech, thats the newer one and thats because its the end of the whole Part 1 Honkai 3rd...hence it wasnt like a heartfelt one, it was more of it is the end, we reached the goal, we look back at everything and we are satisfied with the process and the outcome. Its the end but yet its a new beginning. We may split but we may meet again.

the guy on the center of the orchestra is called the conductor they use specific gestures to direct individuals and sections of an orchestra or chorus through a piece of music in rehearsals and final performances. They instruct in aspects such as tempo, volume, tone and pitch to achieve the desired performance of the piece so that guy has a very important role.

Yeah think of it as like ppl who do digital music You have all the different pieces in each digital instrument, they are the musicians And as the mixer you need to lead and initiate and balance everything out before you finalise the job. That's the conductor right there..

10:10 the guy really makes it much easier for people to play in the same tempo so the timing would be as perfect as it can be. They see him while watching mainly notes by (idk how it is called in english)... side vision? I played the cello for 14 years in some orchestra and the guy is surprisingly really useful.

Gods know how many times i've watched this concert, couse its SO good! Back when it came out last year they just finished up the Flamechaser story so songs like TruE hit especially hard. Together with the latest concert this one definitely is my favorite. Btw, they use alot of cool tech to do all of the fun animations. i think there is a video somewhere on their channel that explains how they do it so have a look.

When you say the man of stage, I assume you meant the conductor? Being a conductor is actually pretty hard, much harder than what it seems on stage. Conductors are responsible for training the orchestra before the actual show, they also need to be perfectly aligned with the music that the composer is trying to convey. On stage, their main job is to time the orchestra. Generally speaking, a band of 3-5 members is a lot easier to be in sync than a huge orchestra like this one in the concert. It's the conductor's job to make sure that everyone is on the same page. They are also responsible for stuff like crescendos and decrescendos, if you didn't know what those are, it's basically just the gradual increase in volume in a symphony, and the other is the gradual softening of the volume. I could get more detailed about this but I'm feeling too lazy to continue. The bottom line is, Yes, being a conductor is hard and takes a lot of education and practice to be good at.

Btw. Song that sounded like Naruto is called Sennen no Hane. Fu Hua theme song. And It has lyrics. You can react to It if you want. Also there's a lot of Honkai and GGZ songs that are not from cinematics. Hoshi to Kimi ga Kieta Hi for example. You can check them out too Also. Love how everyone who didn't played through the story is love Otto or feel bad for him. But then they found it out💀. Rubia's og singer Zhou Shen is super popular in China, I would assume he's very busy and very expansive to get him to perform. And if you doubt his singing voice there are tons of his live performance on YT. He performed Rubia live once before, but not for Hoyo.

In simpler understanding, the conductor signals the rhythm to the musicians, like when to enter, the pace of the music. The rhythm is difficult because even though everyone can count to 4, but everyone counts at different rates. In an orchestra, everyone follows the conductor's counting so the instruments sync. Also the loudness of each individual section, like if the trumpets are too loud and overshadowing the piano, then he will signal to them to be quieter. I heard the orchestra musicians keep an eye on the music sheet and one on the conductor, because he's effectively giving them realtime instructions.

About the Moon Halo one, I was so busy with my job that I didn't have time to record my own cover. I could've been there, featured among the other Captains. That was the second time I missed out for a game. The first was for Kingdom Hearts 3 - Union Cross joint event, which I missed out on pure happenstance. Around the week or so after uninstalling Union Cross, I had heard of an event where they would grab 500 or something players to put in their latest game. By the time I had reinstalled the game (after getting a new phone with a higher storage), the event ended.

I actually like this concert more than the Forest Cap concert. The ending was especially emotional because this concert was released (and probably meant to be watched) right after finishing the end of the Elysia arc (Because of You) so it was sort of like Elysia saying farewell and the last time we would see her (at that time). bruh it's 2023 use a better adblocker, one that pretty much everyone is using. Also this video is being labelled/categorized as HSR.
