I’m not surprised that he failed. I think that the new series questions are becoming less general knowledge and more designed to be obscure. In addition, I think the questions are manipulated, such that young people get questions concerning events that occurred long before they were born, and older people asked for example, , about obscure rappers of the 21st century. When it comes to the showdown, the contestants are handicapped by having to press a buzzer before answering. I think they should have a longer period to make up for this. That’s one problem. The other lies in the ‘choice’ of questions , A or B. It would be fairer if there were actually two envelopes of questions that were given to Bradley Walsh. As it is, it is difficult to avoid the thought that one set is easier than the other, and whatever the contestants might choose, the easier ones go to the chaser. Perhaps ITV were losing money too often...

No way ITV would do that. They got in trouble before by letting people be charged for phone ins when the lines were closed. Ofcom would be all over it.

No offence but I got 9 of those too and I ain’t no chaser! One swallow doesn’t often make a summer. Cash builders are often pretty easy questions and even the more ‘difficult’ ones you can often have a stab at.

You really think 9k is enough to get a job as a chaser? On the Australian version, it goes up by $2000 so 9K would be 18 K on the Australian version and that happens all the time. nowhere near the standards, to be chaser. You should know better because you’re the chase
