Cosmoteer is a game. A game about space. You can build your own spaceship in it, very cool. What makes space games even better? You guessed it, it's a Star Wars mod. WOOOO
For some reason my brain wouldn't want to leave me alone about making a video on this game, so here I am.

@@Polarfuchs Are you sure? Although Remake is visually the best mod, gameplay wise AOTR is even complexer. The economy, the different units, unit research for both space and ground and the fact that there are missions, make AOTR way more interesting for me than the current Remake.. Also, the 2 teams work together so they share a lot of the same models. AOTR still looks quite good and shares models with Remake like the ISD, but doesn't have the great shaders. If you haven't already, I suggest you give Awakening of the Rebellion a try What do you think of the 4.0 Remake Ground Combat with the Bataillons?

The pretty lights of space battles are so pleasant to look at. The fact that the rebel scum perishes it in the thousands while doing is just icing on the cake. Chances of victory are rapidly declining? You just didn't follow Granddaddy Palpi's orders correctly. You turned Star Wars battles to 18th century naval warfare - so basically to Homeworld. Pure Perfection. Really cool video. Have you tried Starsector? Ships are a lot more simplified compared to this, but it has warcrimes and spacecannibals.

Starsector is on my radar for a long time now, but I'm scared of getting addicted to it because it looks like it's right up my alley.

I have a decent amount of time in that game and i can comfortably say both vanilla and modded starsector is INCREDIBLE. Especially when you get into making colonies and then producing ships for your fleet.@@Polarfuchs

I started this game and thought man , if i had a unlimited budget i could really design a monster... then found the free build settings. Designed a 7 million monster... and guess what? Was wiped clean out of space by a ship that costs 2 mil. In fact all of my ships i have designed in my now 60hrs of game time all get wiped out by less expensive ships. So yep ..ive learned: throwing money and resources at the problem doesnt solve the problem if you just suck at design. Thanks Cosmoteer!

sometimes, i do fleet tactics... send in the big, armored and shielded ship to tank the hits, and get a smaller, faster, more nimble ship to go around and kill it.

if you grab and drag the entire painting area around the ship, the paint scheme will usually highlight then you can drag and paste it onto your ship.

I am no fan of the mods for this game. They always give you an advantage over the bade game ships. Like circular Shields who easily make you immortal. Also top placed weapons let you build without any weaknesses. Using mods in this game is just playing easy mode...
