Calll me old but The Sea-Dweller double red is the best Rolex imo, i bought it in switzerland, it was the right size for me, added it to my vintage collection. Better than the Submariner. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research.

Great that will fetch you some cash. I use to own that watch when i used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $55million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.

How did you grow your portfolio to $55m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
@stevenorris112 күн бұрын
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.

Can someone explain how that sub with stickers still on ends up there. Ads are meant to remove, is this an ultimate back door sale to a mate who they know will flip?

AD’s rather than selling to the public who want the watches sell them out the back door at inflated greymarket prices to flippers.

Not always. I purchased a GMT Rootbeer from an AD and I left the store with it fully stickered. It still remains in my collection.

Harry, the yellow MOP could be one of two things. You can get a natural yellow MOP from the shellfish called Cassis Cornuta, which Rolex might have used. The other option is that Natural white MOP does acquire a yellow tinge as it ages. My guess is that Rolex chose a natural yellow mother of pearl as the natural does have the subtle yellow MOP in different lighting conditions. The pink is my favourite also. I know the OG straps are like the Dodo, impossible to find but you can have a high quality one made by that watch strap company from Paris the name of which I forget!

That Sub in the beginning of the video clearly needs a polish. How could you miss that, Jon?! Maybe you should see an Optometrist?

So many AD refuse to give you the white swing tag yet so many of yours have them. Can you explain please ?
@xavious501714 күн бұрын
Purchasing from the Rolex AD in Dubai, I have always kept my swing tags and I even specifically request it upon purchase and they do not refuse! (No intention to flip, just want to have the full set in any case)

The Beach Daytona didn’t sell well when they were released in 2001. They were released at $80,000 usd for the set of 4 colors. The straps were a bit small for women’s wrists. They sat in the stores forever.

ADs and Rolex never ever size the bracelet so the clasp is in the middle of your wrist.... It's always to the side for a more comfortable fit.
@xavious501714 күн бұрын
The clasp should always be in the middle for the most balanced and comfortable fit. I always get Rolex, or any other brand, to swap additional links from the 6 o'clock side to achieve this and even they recognise the fit is optimal once completed! (depends on wrist shape, of course)
@Yorkshiremadmick14 күн бұрын
I had an AD resize and reposition the clasp on my Sea Dweller to be dead centre.

The mk3 1665 Double red SeaDweller has been serviced in the mid 1980's and had a new solid link 93150 bracelet fitted instead of the original 9315 folded link. The original mk3 insert has also been replaced with the 80's mid font style at service.

For those who don’t know: only one watch went to space and that watch doesn’t represent other of its kind. Besides, going to the space doesn’t mean quality upgrade in anyway shape or form.

24 people have been to the moon, are you saying they all shared the same watch?!?
@dannyg659213 күн бұрын
Many different watches have been in space, including (but not limited to) Omega Speedmasters, Fortis Cosmonauts, Casio G Shocks, Rolex GMT Masters, Breitlings, Glycine Airman, Tag Heuer Carrera, Seiko Pogue, and Bulova Chronographs. On the actual surface of the moon, astronauts have worn Omega Speedmasters, a Bulova Chronograph (Apollo 15) and a Rolex GMT Master (Apollo 14).

@ - only those that have been on the moon have been in space. The ISS and all the other such missions are not in space!
@dannyg659213 күн бұрын
@@JammyDodger45 According to NASA, the ISS is technically "in space" (it is also in the thermosphere). Same applied to Skylab, which is no longer in existence.
