The funny thing is your #1 pick going into 2024 was Qualcomm (QCOM) and most of your chip stocks are down this year, esp Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) -57%!! Fortunately, one of the stocks mentioned here was Crocs (CROX) and it’s up +22% so ironically, it’s one of the better performing stocks of those you’ve discussed this year. Do you have an average total return in % terms from the semi stocks you discuss here? You’re good with numbers, I’m sure you track your returns vs. the market. Based on oft mentioned stocks like ON Semi (ON) I’m going to guess overall the semis you discuss haven’t come close to the S&P 500 return of 28.5%. Would be good to know. I enjoy your content. It's confusing, but Meta isn't considered a hyperscaler, because most of its data center compute is for internal use. Hyperscaler refers to a public cloud service, which is Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. Meta is often referred to as a "consumer internet company," or something similar.

Thanks for the great explanation. Can you explain the moat that protects Pure Storage? Specifically, why would the hyperscalers not build their own solution over time? I understand the enterprise market (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKqtiISGpJyMiMU in the video), and the cost advantages of solid state storage. But for some hyperscalers I would expect storage management to be fundamental and in their sights to build over time. (I’m about 5% PSTG, considering expanding).
