Wow, what a great mindset for when standing over my 15(ish) foot putts. This will definitely free up my stroke I'm sure. Thanks Warren, always a pleasure watching and listening to you!

What a great tip, I miss the majority of putts short, now using this tip I can be more aggressive . I think it will free up my putting stroke also.

I love this video. This is going to help me without doubt. Watching some of your tips makes me want to go to the course straight away and play. I don’t practice, I’m an idiot. Thanks for your videos Warren. 👏👍

Hi Brian, that’s ok a lot of golfers don’t, I recommend even if it’s 10mins in a net, practice swings at home. I know plenty of golfers who just enjoy it without the need to practice, you must do what makes you enjoy golf. Sending my best Warren

@@warrenbennettgolfacademy Hi Warren. I’m lucky to have a partner that doesn’t mind me playing Saturdays and Sundays and when the medals start, playing once during the week too. I’d feel bad then saying I’m going to the club to use the practice area. Golf life balance. Maybe I need to look into getting a net for home. I showed her the final holes between you and Langer yesterday. If you knew then what you do now, you’d have won. I have a few favourite swings and along with Faldo, Els, Oosthuizen, Goosen, you are in there with them. All the best with your channels and everything else you do.

Great. Warren on a green. I was hoping this for a long time getting your perspective on putting, and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't watching much YT back 10 years ago. Wearing a Cards cap and all, lovely!

I don’t think a lot of people were watching, it definitely got a boost during lockdowns a few years back. Many thanks for your message Warren

Good lesson and thought process to use on the putting green! Another thing I discovered this year with good results was addressing the ball, at least one ball width, behind the ball, instead of close to it. This allows to hit the ball with an upstroke and the ball starts its roll, instead of a slight skip or slide, then roll. I can't remember which pro golfer taught this method, but it works great for me! ⛳

I'll try this. It's a great mental visual. I'm one of those golfers who tries to die every putt at the hole, and leaves a ton of putts within a few inches. When i make a long putt, I feel like I've hit it too hard, and glad the hole got in the way. Laying a stick 18 inches behind the hole never worked.

Seems reasonable & logical. I’ll give it a try and stop trying to die the ball at the hole

Love this, I must give it a try. I actually do the opposite. I stand behind the hole at a distance where I can’t miss, usually about 9 inches. I then make a few putts from there, but missing the hole. I then measure out how far the putts rolled and I now know the pace of the greens, but I also know when I get that putt on the green I just need to treat it like a nine inch putt. In the summer, a short putt like this can roll 6 or 7 feet, making those tough putts really easy.

That makes sense and a good way of getting the pace right 👍 Many thanks Warren

Great video Warren. For 3 to 5 feet putt, do you recommend taking the flag out? Thanks
