For anyone who's been playing the past years, this change is nothing but a number squish. But for everyone starting out or returning to the game, this is huge. I wish they had the system lined up like this when I started to play again 3 months ago. Not knowing any of the dungeons and having no way of learning them first hand outside of a timed M+ system was nothing but an awful experience (Heroic-Bosses die after 40 Seconds and nobody plays M0). Properly progressing from reaching max level to playing M+ is extremely important for any new or returning player and if I hadn't stumbled upon a super nice Discord community, I probably would have quit playing again 2 weeks after reaching max level.

Well said! I really hope they’re transparent with the engagement metrics so we can see if these changes actually lead to a better conversion rate on people trying and sticking with M+.

So they’re still all timed except M0 that we will do for 2 weeks. We still have to create groups manually. Well, maybe next season. Timers should only exist in MDI.

I’d say just drop the timer all together until you get to a high enough key. Not exactly sure where that number would be, maybe like 5-10, but letting players get used to harder hitting / more punishing mechanics in the dungeons without the timer there first might be a better way of easing them into it
