You need to put a gate at the opposite end you can just open and the pigs will just walk right out! I think that narrow path is what Pearl remembers! Just a thought!

Try taking the pigs thru the horse paddock to release them to the open pasture rather than the electric alleyway. I would reduce that alley so the horses don't get in there. Spooking in a tiny space could make things go sideways real quick. I agree that feeding treats when trying to return them to pasture might make things easier. We always carried a bucket into the field to catch the horses sometimes using rocks or a chain in the bottom to add noise will help call them. (Over 30 years horse experience) You all are learning and doing your best. 👍 Thanks for sharing your daily adventures.

When you’re working on a farm things 🎉don’t always go as planned. Most of the time plans never go as easy as you need them to but don’t give up you finally get them worked out.

They are high maintenance I started with 2 ended up with 6 at end .mine stayed in a pin about twice the size of yours they were great but to be able to halter train them you have to work with them every day they want a lot of attention.i would give mine sweet feed in morning about half a cup they ate hay and grass during the day.they were fine also apples and carrots when I had them.used treats to train them.good luck

If your cat got bitten or scratched by a stray the tiny holes can get infected and turn into an abscess. I like watching Dr Pol and he gets any puss out and uses a syringe with peroxide to flush it out and does that a day or two and they heal up.

You need a wider Closed off kinda gate ( that goes from the hot wire to the opening ) with a bigger birth area for passage ! They don't think they got enough room. ! And you standing in their way of turning into the area you want them to go into, and their minds they don't think they got enough room. !

Hi, From Fort MacLeod, Alberta, Canada. I enjoy watching your videos. Pigs are very smart. Pearl probably remembers getting shocked and is cautious now. Hope, you're wonderful young lady. It's awesome seeing you helping Dad around the farm. Keep up the good work. Your sister's are helpful too.

Walk in there and they will follow. If you can open a different part of the fence or make a walk through gate that is at the back near the gate that you let the horses out and into the grassed area. I would love to come and add a couple of things that would make things so much easier for you guys. Open invitation to come give a hand if wanted or needed to help make things a whole lot easier for you all. 11:59 I'm from Australia 🇦🇺 also have some homestead or off Grid farming under my belt. God Bless I just wanted to add that the way you got Percy in would be the best way to get pearl out to the back area, as she was skittish by the electric fence, so a small U turn from pig to pony then to the back might work well for you out there.

My daughter and her daughter have two horses one full size and one mini. In the summer they both stay on twenty acres,, in winter we keep them here and feed all winter. We've had no issues with founder in our mini. But we faithfully keep their feet trimmed. And grain is more a treat than a staple. To much spring grass might could be a problem so we wait til late spring to move them. You guys are doing fine so don't let all the comments scare you. You will figure out what works best for you and your animals. Everybody has their own and favorite way of handling things.

Farm brat here. You need a pair of "Pig boards". A sheet of 12mm ply with handles will do. About 4x3 feet. One in front bridging the gap and one behind. That way you have a big enough space for them to move and the board behind gives them no chance to retreat. They eventually get the hang of it and will move where you want them to.

I am 75 years old and I was on a pig farm when I was a little girl. Now I’m a city girl. I I told you that so I could ask a dumb question….. why didn’t you just put a gate at the back of their pens to let them out in the new pasture area? Just a question. Your farm, your business. Really like your videos. Love your family! A farm is wonderful but sure a lot of hard work and you always have things to do, but wanted to thank you for sharing your farm, family and life with us wanna he’s. I’m gonna pray you catch that Bob cat. Those things are dangerous to all your animals. Not even mentioning your family. Prayers and blessings from OKC Grandmother.

All horses..are high maintenance 😎 just get a real good book about mini’s. We all have slightly different ways..but some things are just facts for all horses. You’ll get there. We all had to start some where. Also calling a good reputable mini horse farm will be glad to advice you. They do need a good pasture to run, buck and get rid of energy.
