They had a platonic relationship, that only developed romantically once his trial started. She served as a character witness for him. Boone wasn’t some dumb harlot who thought Bundy was hot on tv in spite (or because) of his crimes and then obsessed over him thinking she could “save him.” She legit thought he was innocent and walked away once she realized otherwise.

It's the Tea, the Drama, and the constant reminder of what possible horrible things could end/ruin this life, that I find makes me want to watch those documentaries.
