4:00 Rodger's ability is this but better, not only does it double the rea\ser\arch gained from research capsules, but it also doubles the amount of encounter research- I have tested this before, the ability states that is doubles the amount of research gained. It does not state which one specifically, but how you know it doubles research gained from capsules is by seeing how much was gained in the text below your screen- and for when you are spotted and die, you can see how much you gained in your completion in the twisteds tab in the UI. You can gain a max of 14% research on a toon per floor.
