@@frog3262 believe me i wish the dating market wasn't like this. but most of gen z that participates in dating are insurmountably shallow, and most impose standards regarding height and race. i inevitably had to rationalize this because i am excluded completely from dating in america. most people wouldnt date someone who is short and ethnic like me, so i had no choice but to embrace this mindset. i plan on moving to the philippines where my parents were born because people my age there wont exlude me for being short and ethnic, unlike americans here where i currently live.

People are a lot more personable that way. I've yet to ever use a dating profile and likely never will. When I was in my late teens and early 20s I did feel -very- similarly though. Then where do you think you would have better luck finding a mate? Would you go to a place like the phillipines, where most men would look more like you? Or would you go to Sweden, where you would need to compete with men who average way above 6 feet tall. I'm not knocking women for prefering taller men, it's engrained in their evolutionary biology. It gives them a sense of security, that spans back to cave man days. But what I am telling this kid, is he can improve his options and success rate, if he dated in a location where he looked more normal, like the phillippines. As an Asian guy, that's what I'm doing.
