Great tutorial - keep it up! This *almost* looks as cool as my Ableton DAW. Maybe better O.o. One thing I do not see is 1) How large the program's File size is after install, and more importantly 2) Does it default to your C: drive when installing? That would be bad... Again, Thanks for the tutorial, and great job on it!

Hmm the size of the DAW isn’t much. Of course the more plugins you add that’s where the large size comes into play. All installations will start off at C drive but you can change it to whatever drive you want.

This is the problem with trying to follow along on beginners tutorials for software. @5:25, he skips directly to a screen that is not showing on the software without any explanation as to how he got there or how I get there.

I apologize if I was moving to fast. The screen that I went to is "Settings, General." Under Saving uncheck "Generate audio preview files automatically" Let me know if that helps I plan to make full in depth video that will explain this again.

@@WaveformExplored Thanks for the response. Once I got the midi hooked up and registered, I found that it came with a license for Ableton Live 12, so I I'll work with that for now. Might come back to Waveform in the future, if I can wrap my head around it all.

Hmm. I would check your location for saving projects. Sometimes a location might need administrator privilege. Try switching to a different hard drive or location on computer. If that doesn't help. I would try either restarting computer and/or reinstall Waveform.

thank you for the video. I am trying to import old tracktion 2 projects. Each time I import a saved wav file from that project, waveform renders my file to the new edits tempo. How do I prevent waveform from rendering my flawless tracktion 2 files.

Have you tried setting the new project tempo to same tempo as older project first?

@@WaveformExplored yep, I go 19o it speeds up some samples twice as fast, I go 95 and some other samples go twice as slow. I want to see the tempo and have the samples be on the same time stamp they were when I was using tracktion, without time conversion.

Hmm. Curious are you using an interface or internal sound card? You may need to switch to a different driver setting like Wasapi or Asio. I would check to make sure the output is enabled in settings.

Hmm. I have to check into that. Do you mean time stretching a wave file to change the tempo. One shots normally don’t need to be stretched but loops do.

There higher notes in the Keybed are faster.. when you go on the lower notes on the right side of the Keybed the Sample or One Shot goes slower. In FL Studio it called Time Stretch. To make a Sample always the same lenght. I dont find the function on Wafeform, maybe you can help me out.

thanks for this video. I've been trying waveform. for some weird reason importing wav, flac and mp3 files are problematic on playback. waveform automatically timestretch the files randomly. one moment it's in sync and the next it jumps to double time or some other speed ratio. no idea. is this an issue with waveform in general?

I have to check into this further. So far it hasn’t done so for me. It might be associated with the tempo of the project and maybe a setting that is automatically stretching the audio.

Hello. I apologize for the late reply. Is it that your sound went out when the mixer or interface disconnected? Is this for every project or just that one project? Did you record something but lost the data or is it just not playing the audio?

@WaveformExplored so, I was Multitracking a live event on my laptop with a ui24r, power went out during the recording and everything disappeared, then I tried with a sq6 power went out sane thing happened, everything disappeared, not temp files or recoverable, nothing

I’m sorry about that. I don’t think that is recoverable. If all the power cut off during recordings. Waveform wasn’t able to write it. That definitely sucks.

Why is mine taking so long to render. I did use some plug ins & I did record a couple tracks But there's only 3 tracks that I wanna use out of all recorded & A beat So 4 tracks total But when I try to export and render it It just says 0% & It's taking a long time

I’m sorry you are having issues. Have you tried saving project and closing/restarting Waveform? It could also be a specific plugin that is causing the issue.

Your computer specs should be fine. Is it only on that project. Maybe try another project with one track and export that

With asio You just adjust latency right on the DAW. That other step is completely unnecessary

When I look at the buffer size for my Zoom L-8 specifically it only shows what it is currently set on. I still have to click on Control Panel to adjust the buffer size for ASIO. Now if it's set to another device like my X-Air mixer then it will allow you to set it right in DAW

Hi Just go to Settings > Appearance > Get Additional Language. After a quick refresh it will offer you two options: Chinese (Simplified)/(Traditional). Hope this help!! Enjoy
