It hurts me everyday knowing I owned little Samson and never had an idea what it’s value was. I got that game when I was 9 from my dad who purchased it for 50 cents at a garage sale. Played that game so much that I could speed run it under an hour and was so proud of myself. I later sold the game so I could get the down payment on my house. Let it go for 10 dollars and someone out there got it at the greatest price ever. Also I don’t like when people change their mind or continue to list it without actually wanting to sell it. I have had several occasions where people have changed their mind the day of and it annoys me. I once drove an hour to meet someone and he messaged me right as I get to the meet up spot and says sorry I don’t want to sell it anymore. I was so mad because I now had to drive an hour back home with nothing. I actually recently made time to meet someone for something else and we had agreed to meet and also agreed to notify each other of anything changed. Called him to make sure we where good before leaving home and he lets me know he forgot and no longer wants to make time to meet as he just moved and doesn’t have time. Didn’t even give me a chance to respond and then hung up on me.

My "flintstones suprise at dinosaur peak" alone wich the collection had, is worth alone more than 800Euro where i live, today. I estimate that the collection i sold would be worth around 5000-7000 Euro today, and i let it go for 50 Euro.

I'm glad I completed the NES set (minus SE) a year or so ago... For some perspective in October of 2020 I paid $1,500 for Little Samson from a game store in my area. It was the last expensive game (minus SE) that I needed.

I picked up Little Samson recently for $1800, talked them down from $2000. They also had Jetsons and I got $150 off that too. Ended up with both games for $2100

Of course. NES isn’t as hot as it was, the rare/first party stuff will remain hot, but used to you could get NES stuff for a dime a dozen, then the market exploded. Then SNES was hot. N64 was hot for a bit, GameCube is the hotness right now, wii will be next

I call repro on the Samson. There is no way it would just be shrink wrapped and tossed in with a $0.50 ice climber filled rubbermaid bin. He didn't wawt to sell it to you because he knew you would know and expose him for selling fakes. Even a beat up Samson would be in a game case within a locked glass case.

Remember borrowing Little Samson from my neighbor. Great game, but would never thought the value would skyrocket like that.

In your game counter you should put the amount the collection will have when it’s complete. Like 481/10000 Or however many games there is.

That Samson was out there to draw attention to his booth. Never had any intent to sell. Threw out a number he thought you wouldn’t bite on.

In September 2019, I paid $2500 for a complete in box Little Samson in very good condition on eBay…right before eBay started charging tax in California. My friends said I was crazy, but look now…it goes for $2500 loose! I am never selling my cib Little Samson. My friends also said I was crazy when I bought Panzer Dragoon Saga in 2001 for $100. Now it’s worth $1200-$1500. I am never selling my Panzer either.

Perhaps it was a fake, he knew it, and knew who you were. How would that go down for his future conventions if a 146K youtuber bought a fake game from a dealer on video at a convention? Why else would he suddenly decide he wanted to keep it if it was still on table for sale?

I once changed my mind selling my NES collection including Little Samson. I was not malintentionne, it's just that the enthusiasm surrounding my collection made me doubt that I should sell it.

Mistakes happen sometimes with stock, but he should have pulled it the first time you brought it up. One of the worst experiences I ever had a comic con was when the guy decided that every comic I tried to negotiate with him on was no longer for sale.

I’ve had that happen before. Very frustrating. Was at San Diego ComicCon when comics were the thing (late 80s).
