After branded and runick have both taken serious hits in master duel, chimera doesn’t offer enough by itself to merit play. That being said, one thing you can do to better insulate your board is to run 3 fusion armament and the original (vanilla) chimera the flying mythical beast. Play armament and reveal chimera the illusion beast to summon the original chimera. From there both coatl and mirror swordknight can protect you from hand traps or interruptions from an established board while you are setting up.

I was interested in Chimera aswell and tried to look a bit deeper into these cards in order to maybe use them as a support engine in other decks. I heard a lot about Tearlament/Chimera and still have to look into it. But i build a Chimera/Labrynth deck that has a specific goal, i used Chimera the Phantom Beast and Berfomet in the extra deck to get Fiends eithe rback from the GY or Banishment to the field, by banishing them. Which also helps to play around Shifter or Call by the Grave. I also play Cornfield Coatle and Mirror Swordknight in oerder to use their GY effects and negate my opponent card effects by banishing them. I play more copies of Dogmatic Punishment to set up Phantom Beast or Berfomet. Berfomet is the most important one because he gives by banished Coatl and Swordknight back. With Phantom Beast, i can summon Berfomet from my GY to the field to get Coatl and Swordknight online. If i banished Berfomet to get the others back, i play my one - off cursed Necrofear in order to get them back because necrofear special summons itself by shuffling 3 banished Fiends back. Then i can use Necrofear for Big Welcome to get back to my hand. With it i can once again loop all the Chimeras around and get banished cards back and have a lot of interruptions. It also increases the already strong grind game potential. Even if Necrofear gets banished, i can get it back since Necrofear is a Fiend and Berfomet too. Witrh Fiendish Rhino and Foolish Burial, i can get Necrofear from my deck to the GY and get it back on the field and use it for Big Welcome to get it back to my hand if needed. I still practise the deck, i don't want to hype it up that much but Chimera/Labrynth seems to be a sleeper hit. I recommand to explore the deck for yourself, looping Chimeras around. I also like Necrofear in Unchained to play under shifter or Call by the Grave, or to get Yama back.

Run the illusion magician and master Tao the chanter use chimera fusion with berfomet and gazelle to make the fusion berfomet then chain the gazelle as 3 fusion berfomet as chain 2 and big-wing berfomet as chain one add coatl off gazelle berfomet send either master Tao if magician in grave or swordknight or send magician then use big winged berfomet to summon back nightmare magician or mirror swordknight to use for next turn use chimera fusion to add back to hand then set it to dodge

i always feel like handtrap somewhat get in the way of playing branded fusion decks.. going for the all gas, play through everything might be better than the balanced approach

Chimera Brande might be better than Branded in Master Duel but in the TCG Branded is better because their extra deck compared to just using Rindbrumm in Chimera to send Gazelle from deck to grave with Branded Fusion is that much better because the extra deck is flooded with negates + it has Mirrorjade. Having 3 Branded Fusion in the TCG allows us to activate Branded Fusion during our opponents turn giving you a 2nd chance to set up a board before your opponent can set up a meaningful board or annihilate your opponent when you have Dragoon and Mirrorjade on field just like that after cooking them with Dusk Dragon which sends Titaniklad to special summon Quem or Dogmatika Ecclesia.

@@Harmonic14 Branded lost their ability to use Fusion Duplication when Branded Fusion got limited. You can put just about any of the support used in Branded inside Chimera and it will be better than Branded because it can play through more than 2 hand traps and with all the extra outside help Branded receives being applied to Chimera instead Chimera will end on a more explosive board than Mirrorjade and Dusk Dragon or Cartesia pass if your Branded Fusion and Dusk Dragon o Cartesia is negated. A deck simply just measured by raw power. It also measured by how easily it can win through everything your opponent throws at you. If that wasn't the case Branded would still be widely considered as the best deck in the game. But isn't its a tier 1 deck in the TCG probably sitting just outside of the top 5 best decks in the game. I hope my explanation has helped people understand why Branded isn't better than Chimera Branded.

Chimera has done better against.my r-ace deck than branded. Branded stands no chance against my deck. Chimera has a chance but slim.

@@Sneakyeggs Exactly and Chimera can do any Branded can just by using same cards Branded can use just like Yubel uses Yama as a bridge into stealing what made Unchained unique. Decks have been using other archetypes cards like this for a long time. Chimera is newer and now that Branded has only 1 Branded Fusion in Master Duel it can't use Fusion Duplication its age is showing.
