While Judith is incredibly efficient at clearing your opponents' boards, I feel like it can get very oppressive and a lot of these effects are dependent on your opponents building up boards full of creatures. If you're playing against decks that don't play tons of creatures, the constant one-sided boardwiping will have diminishing returns. My plan with Judith is to build around Brash Taunter, Stuffy Doll, and the new Barbed Servitor, playing Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction type boardclears that hit my creatures as well. Mithril Coat and Darksteel Plate will keep Judith alive, and Pariah's Shield will go on any of my indestructible creatures. This is definitely a much more janky strategy but I think Judith is the best commander for it.

Exactly, I don’t get excitement about constant board wipes. If you want to utilize lifelink of you sorceries and instants it would be much better to wipe the board just once or twice, but dealing a lot of damage to each creature.

@@Buffalo93 Lol i just mentioned about how players get hyped about board wipes. If you consistently do that you just make Judith a target to be removed and never really win a game. I made a Judith video showcasing cards that knock out opponents. There are so many more spells that "DEAL" damage and have extra effects.

Seems like Pestilent Spirit would make a good backup just in case Judith gets dealt with. Also, Harmonic Prodigy is a $2 card but it would double up on those imp tokens.

With giving instant and sorceries life link would hitting several creatures with something like blazing volley would each creature be a separate life gain trigger or would it just be one life gain trigger?

For blazing volley - you gain 1 life for each creature your opponents control.Its not an individual trigger for each 1 damage. It's all dealt simulatenously

Check out 'Fall of Cair Andros', I feel it's slept on. {2}{R} Enchantment. Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt excess noncombat damage, amass Orcs X, where X is that excess damage. {7}{R}: Fall of Cair Andros deals 7 damage to target creature... Imagine Blasphemous Act against a token army... you got one tall boy now! Also, Aetherflux Reservoir seems good.

This sounds like an exodia deck with all the board wipes without the countless card drawings needed for the 5 pieces.

Blood Funnel seems like it would be a good fit for this deck. $ 0.79 | 1 (B) for a card that says: "Noncreature spells you play cost 2 less to play. Whenever you play a noncreature spell, counter that spell unless you sacrifice a creature.".

I love this new Judith, but one thing to consider: if your commander gets removed, your effectiveness lowers a LOT!

Judith is a solid upgrade to my Moghis deck, which runs a similar mass deathtouch theme using Death Pits of Rath. Adding lifelink to this is just disgusting. Can't wait 😅

I'm actively brewing this commander right now, got about 150 red spells sitting in a box to sort through. I'm looking forward to busting her out on release day, if possible. Just gotta find a copy of Harmonic Prodigy, and decide if I want to load up on tutors.

As cool as this budget build is, there are some non-budget cards that just make this deck so nasty while utilizing the same exact general plan. Sarkhan, Dragonsoul (his +2 is Tectonic Hazzard!). Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (the incidental lifegain from your 1 mana 1-sided board wipes also burns out your opponent). Ojer Axonil (all the incidental pings to your opponent ping for 4). Blasphamous Act (nuke the board, gain 150 life for 1 mana?). Aetherflux Reservoir (cash in the 150 life you gain from Blasphamous Act, win the game!), etc. So many options!

Consider the new Inheritance card in this set in Mono Red, as well as the old standbys of Twinferno, Arcane Bombardment, Invoke Calamity, Storm, and Cascade. And then Path of Peril your own infinite imp tokens.

This deck need need needs aetherflux resevoir, sanguine bond, and some draw power. It's not budget but the one ring, black market connection, call of the ring, and underworld breach would be all you need to put this deck above the next stage. Don't forget to get a couple exile/sacrifice/artifact destruction cards to avoid losing to cards that give creatures indestructible.

​@ElizabethJosh absolutely! I listed 10 cards that I'd put in so I'll list 10 cards I'd take out and why. 1. Dimir houseguard (too slow, not enough value, only useful for regenerate,can be replaced by sheoldred) 2. Lorcan (can be replaced with Vito, thorn of the dusk rose for more deck synergy) 3. Ogre slumlord (put the one ring here) 4. Witty toastmaster (aetherflux reservoir will do a good job replacing what this card is trying to do) 5. Read the bones (could be replaced by more consistent card draw like phyrexian arena) 6. Sign in blood (sib is good but let's replace it with call of the ring which will draw every turn) 7. Vampiric rights (we're gonna replace this with black market connection, adding more utility to your draw) 8. Hedron archive (its a slow rock, let's replace it with some gas like Underworld breach so your cards in the gy can be cast again) 9. Culling said (let's replace the sacrifice jank with a win con. Sanguine bond will win you the game if you board wipe a token player.) 10. Everflowing chalice (it was hard to find a 10th, put sheoldred's edict so you can make that pesky voltron player sacrifice their wincon) These are just suggestions. The deck list is already dope though!

Add sanguine bond. Doesn’t break the bank, but is a few dollars. Effect is when you gain life, opponents lose that much life.

Hey Match, Huge fan & love your work. But, as good as yours golden pig may be, I think I might have one that is better. That being Magar of the magic string. Allowing all your spells to be reanimated from the graveyard as 3/3 creatures that cast that same spell when they connect. This coupled with the comander will allow you to keep the bord clear and the "creatures" unblocked for good

I’m going all out in combo infinite imps with Reiterate with Mana geyser or jeska’s will and of course I’m making sure this commander dominates early buy having jeweled lotus Mana vault and Mana crypt and Chrome mox with the usual rocks. This will have Judith coming out turn 2 and possibly going off turn three or four😈👍🏼👍🏼💯

I'm kinda worried about this Commander, will she become the kind of deck like Narset Enlightend and Johira Captain, when bringing them to the table allways create some tension right before the game ? I mean, you're telling everyone in your casual play group "I've got a 40$ deck, and when my commander is in play I can boardwipe once per turn". How is that fun for someone else than yourself ? I was so much intrigued buy her, but after a day of deck building and testing, it's like I can already hear my friends sigh the way they did when I took the previously named commanders for game night. I know some people like - and want - to be the archenemy at the table, but I think this kind of deck needs some disclaimer for people who are no prepared for that. Tcg player is the worst. I go there with the decklist and at first this deck was over $9500 because some dummy put a sign in blood at over 9 thousand dollars. Then I pick a different one and the deck is still over $150 because the seperate shipping charge. Card Kingdom is where its at. Cool deck though.
