This Deck Makes No Sense... BUT IT KEEPS WINNING! - Legends of Runeterra

This Neeko & Rek'Sai Lurk/Subtype deck is all about attacking with your small units so you can level up Neeko and make them HUGE. The Lurkers from Shurima already have pretty good stats, so a couple of lurk procs and buffs from Neeko will allow them to instantly end the game! This deck can be very inconsistent so I wouldn't recommend it for climbing over the Freljord Neeko decks, but my winrate was positive at the end of the run!

Years ago I wanted to start playing this game because some decks give this cool feeling like everything falls in place, plus the game is visually beautiful. I never got into it though because I never played card games and never had the time to really get into it. But 2 months ago I just started and I am into it all the way! Sadly, I am not good.. I play some decks you play but can not win a game. Could you maybe make a video on how to play the game, meaning how to play good. When to trade, when to wait, what is important and what not. I feel like in a card game you can not really be good or bad because you have limited options because of your hand and mana. But apparently you can be good or bad because I am bad :)

The decks Sunny plays are usually complicated and he doesn't play the meta decks most of the time, so a new player would struggle replicating his playstyle. I suggest you watch some guides and beginner tips first before trying to play Sunny's decks.

Hi! I've been playing card games for about 10 years (masters in LOR) so I have some tips. The first few are just general card game ideas, and then some are going to be lor specific. 1. Value is everything. Card games are almost always a matter of resource management. This includes your HP pool, if you're playing an Aggro deck and you got six damage to the nexus from a one mana card, that is very high value. If I play one unit and that unit kills three units, that card has given me a lot of value. This is why level two Sett is SUPER good, he creates a lot of value on the board, karma creates a lot of value in the hand and depending on the spells on the board as well, if the opponent only has two cards in their hand and one card on the board, and you have eight cards in your hand and three cards on the board, you have many more resources than the opponent does and if your HP pool is higher than very low you're probably going to win. 2. Efficiently using your mana. One reason why demacia decks are super good when they're good is because they are always playing all their mana. Turn one, Play a card, turn two, play a card, etc. they create a ton of board value and just play faster than you and usually their units have good stats so they can out value you by attacking, Blocking, and challenging. 3. Think ahead. This is going to require game knowledge, so just keep playing. If you know what a deck does, you can begin to plan your strategies around stopping what they want to do. If I'm playing against aggro, I want to Mulligan at the start for early game units and spells to kill their units like avalanche. If they offer to trade their fizz for your akshan, it's okay to do it, you're saving HP in the long run and if you can outlast their aggression, you're going to win the game through playing more powerful cards. 4. Tempo. This is a difficult concept to grasp but it exists in basically all card games, and it refers to the momentum / pace of the game. One of the strengths of Ionia is using recalls and stuns to control tempo. Let's say my opponent plays an Udyr for 5 mana and three stance swaps for a total of 14 mana, if I recall that unit, they've lost not only that mana and the unit on board but also they turns they used to set that up, and if I still have my units or I'm setting up a strong play, I am ahead. 5. Use the eye. LOR features a handy little blue eye that will tell you what the results of a play will be, make a habit of checking the eye every time if you can. You can be sure you're making the right play, but maybe the way you're blocking results in a Jarvan leveling (which maybe means you don't kill it) or maybe some unit or spell has an effect you forgot to pay attention to. 6. Play easy decks. I really recommend you play something like Elites or Jhin Annie, something where you just play cards and attack. The good thing about this game is that even if you play aggressive decks you still have to think sometimes, I still hate Aggro but you have to think more than in other card games at least. Just do your best to try to understand the fundamentals. And remember rule one, value is EVERYTHING. Make safe plays, stop your opponent from making plays, opponent can't attack? Draw some cards. I think if you follow these rules you'll be off to a really good start, and I'm sure people will give you other good pieces of advice too! (Also Snuuy should make that video anyway lol)

That was legit the worst buried in ice play in that second game I’ve seen whether on stream on in person. Wasting all your mana immediately on your turn to take out three units when your opponent is playing a Neeko/Lurk/Shurima package with full mana left and you only have two units on the board that aren’t threatening lethal (and even if you, Quicksand exists), while also not having enough mana to threaten Buried in Ice on their attack next round giving them free development.

As much as I love to play Legends of Runeterra, I kept getting high rolled by enemy players every fucking game. EVen if I used Sunny's deck like the Jack and Samira one, I got highrolled by Soul Cleave and rushdown by shrooms. Also I got rigged when I do the mulligan hell even do hard mulligan and still get a bad hand. Call it a skill issue, but it is what it is on my end. Its not fun anymore to me so I deleted it and need a break.
