I do not think that is CWD at all. I think that buck had a really rough rut. That dude‘s a battle ax and he fought a lot and is out of gas. Looks like he has some wounds on his neck most likely puncture wounds from antlers. He’s just had a really rough night.

Looks like his front right leg is all mud and he's wet he could have just fought for his life to not drown after fight another buck for a doe after chasing does for miles without food or water and then had an arrow put through him and is in complete dehydration. Some people got no idea. Truth is none of know. Imagine him surviving that just to be shot because someone one is scared of cwd that they can't catch. People fk things up more than help. This is a relatively young 2-3 yo buck... so he wasn't ruttin hard enough to be battling true 5-7 yo bruisers!!! More than likely trying to bounce back from a major sickness or perhaps a major physical trauma such as getting beat-up by a vehicle!

Whether it be cwd or one of the other diseases the whitetail deer are getting , the wildlife commission from the different states need to work together to come up with a vaccine for the deer . Once it's in their blood lines they might build a tolerance to those diseases that are killing them . But we need to figure out what's causing them.
