Speaking of iconic warcraft characters that I've been waiting to appear in Hearthstone, I'd like to see each of the original class heroes as proper legendary minions. Yes, they were hero cards in Knights of the Frozen Throne, but that was them reimagined as death knights. I'd like to see Malfurion and Jaina and Uther and the rest as their normal selves as collectible cards, ideally in an expansion that's just straight-up Warcraft themed.

they specifically said they didnt want the original cast to be cards, like they replaced the original illadin card with Xavius when demon hunter came out. though with the orignial lich king not getting replaced with the introduction of Death Nights who knows.

@@happygbug there's always time for them to change their minds on that. I really don't see why they can't be cards considering there are by now tons of hero portraits that are also cards, such as every single hero during the entirety of the year of the gryphon.

@@valerielusa8000 I don't think the warcraft theme was to blame. It was also new characters people potentially didn't care about for an entire year. One expansion based around well-known and beloved characters would probably prove to be different. Not to mention the year of the gryphon had a lot of design time spent on Mercenaries instead of the main game, and we all know how that turned out. Plus I'd say the primary reason the game is in a bad state at any given time is due to the card design and how fun the game is to play. It's not like warcraft theme = bad gameplay.

Yes! I've been loving a similar deck in the Tavern Brawl! It's exactly what I want a control deck to be, trying to accomplish things during the game and not just removing and healing ad vitam aeternam. You're actively building a spaceship, building up a league of demons for Archimonde, trying to build a good hand to pivot into Killjaiden. And instead of relying on a zilliax and zilliax fetches over and over, you actually have a whole deck of cards to play with. This is a really fun deck

Asteroid spam is just the new Incindius OTKs, but so much faster and easier to get online for significant damage since they start at 2 and there are so many more ways to generate them

Asteroids should go in opponent's deck, like bomb warrior. Encouraging the asteroid player to turbo through their deck for free clear means the games are going to play out very same-y. Also, if they went in your opponent's deck, Kiljaeden would counter them.

@@omega4223 Honestly I'm fine with that. It's a way to ease into the new expansion since you're facing a different meta since the restrictions mean lists you're facing will be somewhat different than you're used to since a bunch of stuff in standard (Titans, Festival of Legends...) isn't available, and even if you don't run any Dark Beyond stuff you'll still see it in discover pools and whatnot. And over the lifespan of the brawl we'll see a bit more new cards as people aquire them and make deck replacements. To me that is preferable to just having every new card dumped on me at once and just facing a constant queue of the best decks from theorycrafting.

Have to say, Archimonde has been a real let down. His effect just isn't that unique or impactful for a "big bad" from the Warcraft universe. Kil'jaeden is interesting at least.

Yeah, Archimonde's definitely a let down both flavor-wise and power-wise. I think that they could've just given Ceaseless Expanse's text and stats to Archimonde instead. It would make sense. He gets summoned to Azeroth through much effort (lowering the cost down from 100) and then destroys Dalaran as soon as he gets there (wipes the board).

All the Eredar that aren’t Dranei are demons cause they’ve been juiced up on Fel energy from being a part of Sargeras’ gang, it would be interesting if they had a dual tag, but the tag is Dranei which specifically refers to the ones that escaped the burning legion so it’s a little wonky

First, let me say you thinking that mage secret was everything but a fire spell drove me crazy lol...That being said, I already dont want to play this xpac just because of all the asteroids in this video and your last one alone; thats never happened before. So happy I've decided to give up on Hearthstone, (really Blizzard as a whole) before spending any money on these cards. That mage deck wasnt much better than the asteroids either. The amount of otk & kill from hand cards added in the past 2 xpacs & minisets is insane
