Aamon, described as the seventh demon in Ars Goetia, a chapter in the anonymous grimoire the Lesser Key of Solomon, was believed to be a great and mighty marquis that ruled forty legions of demons in the underworld. The demon has a rather unconventional appearance as according to the account in Ars Goetia, Aamon can appear in a multitude of forms. First, he is described as appearing with the body of a serpent and the head of a wolf, or the body of a serpent and the head of a hawk, but simultaneously, he is also described as taking on the form of a man with dog’s teeth.

i've made so many toons on videogames based on this character and the character of the same name in D&D's Monster Manual II (1983). this was my brother's book and it is still in my collection to this day. the shape changing, Marquis of Hell, Duke of Hell, wolf man himself i was fasinated with it. even more fasinated with it as i grew into an adult and we got wikipedia. where i learned of Amon's true Mythology. ty for doing a video on one of my favorite Evil Beings in history.

Is it just me or do many of these demons seem not so... pure objectively, well... evil? like "gives good familiars, teaches liberal arts, science, is into herbs and minerals, study astronomy, helps find hidden secrets and treasures, etc..." aaand... how're these oh so very totally "evil diabolical" demons supposed to be bad/wrong, again?? it's a complicated topic. Lot of the problem is demon being derived from Daemon, which is just a guiding spirit But it also goes back to ancient judaism, which was cool with other gods until the priests killed solomons grandson{?} and then used a random text to persecute pagans and surrounding religions

The problem is christianity and islam. Demons are actually gods and spirits worshipped in the neighboring regions of Cannan and Phoenicia. The christians and muslims demonized these beings and made them "fallen angels" so that their god yahweh(a pre Islamic arabian god of war and storms not a creator god)would seem supreme. The abrahamic tradition is nothing more than plagiarized myths taken from older traditions and cultures then put their spin on it to fit their narrative. The truth is Demons/Gods are not pure evil nor pure good. Much like nature and the universe they are giving/helpful and chaotic/destructive. Until the abrahamic tradition dies out humanity will never be free to discover our real history and the nature of consciousness and the world around us.
