Fun fact, many people believe Alastor revealed his full name when he said Altruist, but he's essentially mocking the idea by referring to himself AS an altruist, which is basically someone unselfishly devoted or concerned for the welfare of others. If Alastor's power was doubled, Adam would still dumpster him. It's the equivalent of Bruce Lee fighting a T-1000. Nothing he can do to Adam is meaningful damage. I think he's more pissed off that, had he died there, Alastor's legacy would have been "died to buy his friends time" hence "Sorry to disappoint, that is NOT where this ends" Tbh I 100% believe Alastor is going to end up being the primary villain in Seasons 3 and 4.

I don't think she'd need an excuse. The entirety of Hell saw that Exorcists aka Angels can be killed. That is enough of a reason to fear Hell and fear for the very souls in Heaven. Lute is definitely going to try something next season to overthrow Sera as head seraphim or high ranked Angel.

A small detail people might be missing is that when Adam uses those beams of light there is the slight sound of almost heavenly horns in the background which I find to be an AMAZING touch considering that in the Bible for the end times it is described that a horn will sound off to mark the end times and will be heard across the world.

Ok my theories: Either Eve is gone MIA or Lute is Eve (in the first episode it said that Lilith cut ties with Adam because of his forceful nature and then Eve came in play). That would also explain how close they are to each other and also the obvious reason she called him Adam after he got stabbed even though she was always calling him Sir. Lilith made a deal with someone in Heaven to take refuge until the exterminations are over or Adam is killed? She was just chilling for 7 YEARS in HEAVEN? Adam is not the leader of heaven but only leader of their exorcists. He only has 2 wings. Lucifer a fallen Archangel has 6 wings the just like the seraphim. Whatever deal Alastor has going must suck pretty bad for him to be so desperate at the end. Observation: Niffty had angelic blood on her teeth when they started singing the FINALE song. Sera was lost for words when Sir Pentious arrived in Heaven.

Alastor is such a mystery. It’s been confirmed that Alastor is more of an antihero like the fictional serial killer Dexter, if so then what is his goal? We know his soul is in possession of someone else but we still don’t know what drove him to make a deal, let alone who actually offered him that deal. Whatever it is, it’s been hinted that Alastor intends to guide Charlie to learn how to properly use her immense hidden power, not necessarily just for her sake but for his own.

I think he is an antihero in the same exact way that Vegeta is - he came into this fully intending to serve his own purposes, but I think over time he starts to think of the hotel as "his" project. That pride and self importance is just what somebody like Alastor needs to develop attachments. It's not that he cares about any individual in the hotel, aside from his general softness towards women over men and his suspected daddy issues, but the hotel being HIS makes it a part of his ego. This is a perfect way for him to slowly go from ruthless overlord to edgy antihero archetype. At least, that's what I got from his mental breakdown in The Show Must Go On - he's utterly SHOOK that he risked his life over the hotel because he's just now realising it means more to him than he thought. Excited to see how this develops in season two

12:48 The creator Viziepop said nobody in the show is like this. Neither Adam and Lute. Lute said the love of Charlie and Vaggie is wrong only because it's relationship of an angel and a demon to which Adam added it's hot tho. Hazbin Hotel the show is created in the same way as Zootopia. Vivziepop changed her stance over Hazbin Hotel from showing real life prejudices explictly in the pilot to show real life prejudices symbolically in the show. You may think Adam and Lute show hatred towards the existence of lesbians but somebody else may think they show hatred towards interracial couples, infertile couples, rich and poor couples etc. Ultimately it's Adam and Lute seeing relationship of an angel and a demon as forbidden and it's you to decide what you see through it as real life thing.

Razzle got his own statue! You can see it just seconds after the Sir Pentious portrait! Also, some things I saw and wanted to share. Sir Pentious didn't end up at the gates, he ended up with the Seraphim, suggesting that he has either become part of the hierarchy, or whatever being is mediating between heaven and hell was giving her a middle finger. You can also see Sera's face drop into sheer abject horror as she goes from confusion, to recognizing he used to be a sinner, to recognizing she KNOWS him from the feed in the court, to finally realizing how many millions/billions of souls she has exterminated for quite possibly nothing. Also, Sir Pentious keeps his snake like appearance, which "negative" animals are absurdly rare in heaven. he also keeps his signature red claws, suggesting that he is wearing his redemption, and you can visually tell who have been redeemed. Another thing. Alastor didn't "fight" Adam, he just toyed with him. We saw no big form, we saw no purposely lethal shots, we saw no signs of him actually fighting rather than slowing down (The chin shot was just teasing). This could suggest that whatever contract Alastor is on was stopping him from attacking an angel, or his "clipped wings" could be hinting that he is not at full power. We have seen that he supposedly topples overlords like childs play, so I really think we are seeing a power limited, action limited Alastor, and he very well could be the most powerful overload in all of hell. I mean, even just in the loan shark scene in Episode 7, he is as big if not bigger than Queen Bee and Ozzy from Helluvaboss, which are 2 of the 7 deadly sins (which are ranged as stronger than general sinners on average) So hyped for season 2 man. This show well surpassed my expectations on all fronts

I'm very interested in the part "unclip my wings" is Alastor a fallen Angel like Lucifer? They bring up the possibility of angels falling for a reason. I think it's Lucifer that holds Alastor's soul and that's why he hates him. He mentions a deal, I think Lucifer made Alistar promise to take care of Charlie. It would make sense as to why he appeared out of nowhere and protects her and why Lucifer is so pissed about him getting so close with her. And they specify that Adam was a human before becoming an angel, so it's possible that Alastor was a human that became an angel that fell. It would explain why he's so powerful, plus he can't be killed by anything but angelic weapons which is what Adam used on him and is the first time we see him get hurt. Edit: Or maybe it was Lilith that did it. Before she left that's where he was, in heaven. Brought there by Lilith when she left. Lilith was gone for 7 years. Alastor was gone for 7 years. It adds up.

What happened to Sir Pentious is the result of his spiritual sanctification by self-sacrifice (sacrifice literally means "to make sacred). Self-sacrifice is the highest order of such sanctification, but there are many ways to purify yourself, you don't necessarily need to martyr yourself.

Tbh I actually like that Val and Vox might be a thing. Mostly cause of how toxic they are, they're kinda made for each other. It'll make things interesting, esp if there's a fall out. I also find it funny thinking back to ep 2 when Velvette was talking about Val as Vox's boy toy or whatever and Vox was complaining about having to deal with Val. It really shows the toxicity between them. Esp since Vox seems to be the manipulative one in the relationship (and in the group). I think it might actually come into play later. Maybe something goes down it divides the Vs and has a part in their downfall. Also it kind of makes sense that they'd be together considering they work together and Vox seems like a "narcissist" in terms of that he thinks very highly of himself as well as him looking down on others that he doesn't see as on the same level as him. (I don't intend this to be offensive in anyway towards those with NPD) Also I cannot wait for season 2. There is so many directions this show can go and it really has us on the edge of our seats.

So I assume that the reason Lucifer showed up at all was because Dazzle died. Lucifer made Razzle and Dazzle for Charlie to protect her, and in the Hell's Greatest Dad he said "usually I charge a sacrificial lamb" with Dazzle being tied on the table, foreshadowing his death. I would assume that since Razzle and Dazzle were supposed to protect Charlie, Lucifer would know if one of them died, which would then mean that Charlie was in danger, and he needed to get there.

Oh I think you are right, but not necessarily because he needed a sacrifice to save Charlie but as soon as Adam killed Dazzle he broke the deal of not killing a hellborn creature. Same with him about to kill Charlie who is also hellborn. I think that's why Lucifer's hands were tied and he couldn't help before Sir Pentious died, but COULD get there to save Charlie. Personally I like to believe he was watching the whole time and waiting for Adam to break their deal first so he could move without the blowback breaking that deal would have entailed. Sir Pentious was a sinner and thus Adam was allowed to kill him according to the paramaters of the deal, unfortunately. Same with Adam almost killing Alistor. I hadn't seen anyone notice that bit of foreshadowing in Lucifer's song! Brilliant.

So here is my working theory. Lets start with Lilith. Charlie's memories of Lilith are of her being the compassionate parent. The caring one that was emotionally there for her. She loved hearing about her father's dreams but they would eventually wear him down and Lilith would limit her time with him because of that. His depression was bad enough. Dwelling on the past made it worse. Lilith was struggling to bring Hell together as a community. Getting the denizens to have compassion for each other to make Hell a better place. But she was being thwarted by some of the more predatory Overlords and Heaven. The Overlords being a constant threat unlike Heaven being an annual one was her more immediate problem. The predatory Overlords did not want a unified Hell because it would affect their profits. People alone and suffering were easier prey. Lilith is very powerful. But her power seems to be more about persuasion through music. Not the best weapon to deal with entrenched powerful Overlords who have people's souls under contract. So she needed a weapon. She watched the incoming souls and picked out the worst of the bunch. A psychopath serial killer named Alastor. She struck a deal with Alastor to give him power beyond his reach. She would have his soul, he would act as her agent in Hell. He would strike down those who acted against civility and compassion. Focusing on the Overlords. He killed off the more predatory Overlords. We know he didn't kill all of them as we meet Zestial and Carmilla. Both of whom show signs of empathy and community. Carmilla even features a song about Love being the source of her power. They clearly have issues with Alastor but a truce is being enforced. Alastor because he is constrained from acting against compassionate Overlords. All this shift in power will have been noticed by Heaven. They will see Lilith behind the scenes. They had been worried about her organizing the demons. But now she not only has her voice to change things but she has a powerful demon at her beck and call. Alastor prevents them taking any action directly against her. But then into the void created by Alastor's romp through the Overlords arises a group of demons calling themselves the Vees. They quickly rise in power much like Alastor did. Being sinners who rose to power as fast as Alastor did suggests someone is behind them. More on that later. Suffice to say that they quickly become a threat to Alastor and Lilith's schemes. So Alastor confronts them but Vox manages to force Alastor to retreat. It was probably a close battle. But Vox prevailed and Alastor went into hiding to heal and try to find a way to break his contract or get more power. With Alastor out of the picture Heaven saw its chance to get to Lilith. So they sent Adam to threaten her. And Adam told her without her pawn Alastor her family was now a target of the exterminators. Specifically Charlie was a target. Being cornered Lilith struck a deal with Adam saying she would join him in heaven if he promised not to kill any of the Hellborn. Adam's ego would not be able to resist this deal so Lilith vanishes from Hell and is Adam's pet up in Heaven for the past seven years. So when Charlie calls her mother in the pilot and leaves a message lamenting how things are going Lilith pulls Alastor out of whatever hole he had crawled into and sends him to protect her. Alastor of course bristles at the idea of performing altruistic actions. But he is under contract and cannot say no. So he immediately shows up at her door. Despite being under contract he still sees opportunity to revel in the suffering of people in the Hotel so he plays along soaking up all the failure he can. After the fight for the Hotel with Adam presumably dead (we don't actually see him die as the last we see is him smiling at Lute) Lute retreats back to Heaven and informs Lilith that the deal is over as Adam is dead. And she tells her to go back to Hell and get her brat under control otherwise the threat to kill her stands. The more militant Angels now see Charlie as a threat and with Adam's deal not to kill the Hellborn off the table it is open warfare. Lilith will initially return to Hell and try to talk Charlie out of her goals. But eventually her conviction and the fact that she is fighting for what Lilith was fighting for will cause he to seek to throw off Heaven's hold on her and she will join Charlie's side. This will be the arc of the second season. Alastor will be trying to break his contract and Heaven will be struggling between the question of what to do about Sir Pentious and the militant Angels that want war with Hell. All while the Vees and their shadow master continue to pressure the denizens of Hell. The third season will see the rise of that shadow master coming out of the shadows and revealed to be Eve. Eve has been in Hell all this time. As she died in sin due to the Original Sin of eating the apple she would have been doomed to Hell no matter how good she behaved. Having knowledge of Good and Evil she may well have tried to stay good. But the Original Sin still doomed her. In the lore dump at the start of Ep 1 we never hear about Adam eating the Apple. In this setting it may have just been Eve that ate the apple. Thus Adam gained entry to Heaven as the first human to do so. Despite being a horrible sociopath due to not having knowledge of Good and Evil. Which is why when he says he has never done anything wrong he is being as honest as he can be because he has no idea what is right or wrong. Thus Eve is livid that she had to live her life with Dick Master and he went to Heaven and she went to Hell. She is pissed at Heaven for this. She is pissed at Lucifer for screwing things up. She is pissed at everything. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Alastor will have found a way to break his contract by the third season. Thus the power struggle will be Charlie and Emily fighting to change things in their respective domains. Alastor and Eve come out swinging at everything but for their own reasons. It depends on whether Alastor loses his power when he breaks the contract as to what he does with Eve. If he is still powerful he would not knuckle under her. But if he needs her for power he may side with her. In the end it will be a three way fight between Alastor, Eve, and Charlie. Charlie has to get over her problems with her own power. But once she does she may even be more powerful than Lucifer. But in the end she will have something that neither Eve or Alastor has and that will be friends.

Even tho it could be only a saying but Alastor said "unclipping his wings" then theres alao the fact that alastor was gone for 7 years as well as lilith and someone has alastor under his control ....so what if alastor got in some k8nd of deal with lilith getting both into heaven but then she tried to use him in hell again which made alastor angry and that would also be one reason he was saying "u should know what a mortal can do if he takes his own control (or smth like that)" to adam. Because we know he can't be possibly a fallen "angel" as he was a serial killer as a mortal. I know thats a pretty far fetched theory but it would be interesting af

If a sinner dies in hell to non angelic arms it re-manifests back in hell... typically. If a sinner dies to angelic arms then the soul's essence incorporates itself into the very ground of hell. But if an earth born soul dies in hell yet is sinless it manifests in heaven.
