I love this pre poo, but when I rinsed it out my hair was like straw. How do I prevent this?

Maybe mix it with some olive or avocado oil. But maybe your hair is protein sensitive, it contains coconut water. Then you could just use aloe vera gel and olive or avocado oil.

The ingredients are pretty bad, tho. Polymers and PEGs (petroleum-based ingredients) Is there a way to get these same results with healthier, cleaner, ingredients??

Yes, use aloe vera gel and coconut or olive oil. Or fenegreek paste (fenegreek powder w/ hot water or fenegreek seeds w/water blended and strained) and olive or coconut oil. Or fenegreek paste with rice water.

@@fridoxdjamgbedja3903 well, polymers, acrylates and PEGs can clog the hair follicles if you get the product on your scalp or edges. Clogged hair follicles lead to inflammation which can slow down hair growth and, even, increase hair loss. Also, those, particular, ingredients are difficult to wash off the hair strands, so build-up will occur and that can block actual moisture from penetrating your hair strands.
