I ThiNk he deserves to be masters. Just because he wasn’t outshining his teammates but maybe right in the middle in stats with other people means yeah he’s not CARRYING but looks like any other masters player! Even better, there were moments he DID outshine his teammates. Also the pace of games are different per rank, the fact he did this well while still adjusting is crazy.

The problem with overwatch is you have to play diffrent to win in every rank. Like those aggressive plays he was making would definitely work in lower rank and probably even NEEDED to rank up and carry his team. Problem is you have to be more conservative in higher rank but that also means your team means a lot more. Either way the balanc ebeetween aggressive and conservative is a thin line because you will never reach high rank if you arnt aggressive. A good example of this is that player that went to top 500 with mercy and they could only do it by not doing there job and just dps’ing and carrying the team

As a Junkrat OTP, I'm a little disappointed. He doesn't seem to know how to one-shot combo with the shot + mine + melee, and he definitely doesn't know how to parkour with the tire. At least his positioning is good, aside from the suicidal dives. Edit: I'm not saying I'm better than him; I just know more about Junk than he does. Overall, though, he's definitely better than me. I'm just sharing some friendly feedback. ;)

I also think with these, as in how the matches are setup, it’s a little hard to completely get the challenger’s skill lvl. Cause the teams both know who it is, who they’re playing, and can act accordingly. I think it should be done without any of them knowing which player is the challenger, and it should be done with at least two more teams of completely different people. Would this make the videos longer? Yes, yes it would. But it’d also show a more accurate picture

What you're suggesting isn't logical. We already have things in place to encourage people not to target the player and to treat it like a normal ladder game and play it out; plus we're relatively transparent with everything and because of that it's very easy to know who's who after we do the team swap; on top of the open profiles we also have rank roles, and the fact that they submit it publicly so everyone can read submissions...and in this case it was a special event so they knew there was a junkrat OTP. You also have to remember we pull the ELO Hell player in a dedicated VC to talk to them so they'd know immediately before it started. There is no way to retain the quality of the video while also "hiding" everything to test it, so we found a relatively consistent middle ground. As for multiple teams; in case you didn't know all teams are picked and balanced as best as possible (as you can see we didn't do perfect this one and adjusted in real time). All ranks are verified prior to events and submissions are done publicly, as well as just the one video you see takes roughly an hour to an hour and a half the day of but multiple hours behind the scenes; and then you have to _get_ not just 2 teams, but 4 completely unique teams, all verified, all random, all balanced. It's not as simple as just bring randoms into a lot.

The biggest problem I see in lower elo rats is adaptability. For example he might be good into a dva bc he learned how to play around dva and to avoid getting countered, but around Zaria, pharah etc he might not have the right idea. Switching play styles depending on the comp the enemy is running is crucial when playing only 1 hero bc you can’t play only dive rat nor can you only play spam rat. Sure there will be situations where both will work, but most of the times 1 will be superior and just overall better play style.

Team composition must be considered in masters when u have a torb orisa gotta play a tad more passively wait on those engagements with an enemy team of mobility u have to share the aggro with your harder to kill teammates especially if u realize you are being focused

But I always led the team in damage and mitigated! And I was a plat 1 in damage! And his movement is great, the only thing he needs to work on is ult placement!

This junk reminds me about a Kiriko player yesterday, toggle aimbot at a certain range, off when theres a shield, perfect predictions and massive aimshake up to like 20 yards of range and once out of that range absolutely terrible projectile predictions and aim. A junk main should know that shooting up in the air will spread out the explosives and allows up to 10 explosives at the same time ruining a team with ease, yet he doesnt know. He doesnt even know where enemies are, hes entirely clueless alot of times even tho his teammates are standing in a spot he should be able to pinpoint the exact enemy location and spam them with grenades from the sky or get good wall bounces and perfect angles to spam them down.. nothing, just chokepoint spam but at close range aim like a pro player... its just suspicious, its the exact way how cheaters handle across any shooter genre.

Stay in plat. As a junk main in ow1. Yes he’s goood at flanking and learned strategy as soon as his real skill is tested he falls apart. I’m gold use to be plat but as soon as doom jumps you ur dead and you see it here only he gets luck with escapes from team help lol doesn’t happen in silver you just get rolled. Once these flanks and movement are seen by the enemy he’ll drop like a rock like biggest tire ever didn’t even bait or wait for lamp to come out if true masters would have know to look for the cool down along with the rest of the plays. Solid plat the end.

A lot of his value seems to come from other players playing poorly. Misses every shot up close, can really only land the mines, makes absolutely insanely reckless decisions, jumps to the middle of the enemy team to ult every time, ton of other minor decisions that add up. He's fine but definitely not a standout at all and kinda blends into the game. He's good enough to climb as much as his teams let him over time, but he probably won't very quickly.
