Hurrah, another crossover video. I am excited with the hype (support) this disc is getting from the KZbin community. Of course that means that I will probably not be able to get one on launch day… I appreciated you mentioning the flashing and the flight characteristics in the wind. Your observations are clearly made from a supportive place and can only help Jesse improve on future runs and disc design. Smarter people than me could explain how one adds mass to a set mold without changing the make up of the plastic, but I can’t figure out how it would work. Thanks for the content.

I would have never thought about altitude when designing a disc. I bet the stability is perfect in Colorado. Just a touch under stable for those of us closer to sea level. I’ll help test the next version 😜

I got to throw this at the Launch Party. The plastic feels sooo good, but when the sun went down and it got cold the plastic got slick and lost grip. But 100% going in my bag, it’s like a Glitch that you can put power on

I didn't even make the connection to the armadillo, but you're totally right! I love the armadillo for shorter approaches, and the inner core is basically a faster and way glidier version.

Yeah... it's kind of a weird comparison, but it was the closest thing I could think of that feels the same throwing! Both just dead straight, touchy approach discs! It's just incredible that the Inner Core has an even straighter finish than it... at least in its Alpha plastic!

every bit of flashing bothers me on any disc. rim, bottom, anywhere. So I just have some 250 grit. all my discs are smooth, and after a round i feel for things to sand off. All my discs are smooth all the time!!!

I really would not describe that as "flashing". I for one consider flashing to be exclusively on the bottom of the disc and upon releasing, that is what causes fingers to hurt because they run across that sharp edge. What you were describing is the parting line which is quite a bit different from traditional flashing. I understand you were meaning to say the parting line sticks out a bit and has the same affect as flashing, but it doesn't seem likely that would be the kind of thing that would kill your hands overtime as standard flashing can. Yeah, I always just see flashing as the unfinished edges, but yeah… it’s definitely different than the flashing on the underside of the rims! That can really ruin the experience fast with bad flashing on the bottom!

Prodigy is certainly notorious for excessive flashing, and that was the main reason I didn’t throw them from the beginning despite me loving the blend of plastics they have. That and the “need” to have specific runs of certain molds which I ultimately see as a lack of consistency. Have a good one, and thanks for the comment!

I went to the release party and threw at the ace race they put on. The glide on these is ridiculous. Kinda reminds me of the MVP Glitch in that you just throw it with some touch and it just flies forever.

The inner core profile is most similar to the evolution logic. The trash panda plastic is great. However like most premium it slicks up in the cold. I had an inner core skip like a firebird in the cold yesterday. Fun disc for the stability however. Also I can put the sensei on an anhyzer all day long and it will glide thru. Inner core on any more than a few degrees of anhyzer and you have a nice roller lol.

Yeah, I can see that with the cold! Also, if I remember correctly, the Logic has the rounded edge, like bullet shaped like the Luna, right? When this is more shaped like the Rainmakers, just not as aggressive and shallow

@@ApolloDiscGolf yeah the logic doesn't have the exact same rim camber. The rim camber on the inner core is more like the pure. But when you look at the dimensions and hand feel the logic comes in closer than the pure imo.

Is it more shallow than the Skygod? I'm a shallow putter guy (Atom/Envy/Pa-3) because I've got small hands and some people are saying its deep, others shallow. I'd love to get one but just can't convince myself to get a disc if its anywhere near the depth of a skygod.

Yeah it’s definitely more shallow than a sky god! That is uncomfortably deep for me… it’s not as shallow as an Envy. That is a very shallow putter… I would say it’s close to a PA-3? But I haven’t held a PA-3 since doing that video with Miss Frisbees! So I’m just going off memory there… it’s really similar to a Logic and Sensei in depth if you have tried those… maybe a TOUCH deeper… or an Emac Judge

How similar is it to the PA-3 and PA-4?

The PA-3 is much more stable than this! I haven’t had much experience with the PA-4, but after trying Miss Frisbees’ PA-3’s those are pretty stable! Probably more stable than the Luna. So definitely more stable than this… I would guess is has less turn than a PA-4? But again, I haven’t had much experience throwing that at all!

I would say it’s less stable than a Pure! I would say the Pure is between a Sensei and a Luna in stability. Very close to a Luna. This Inner Core is a little less stable and has hardly any finish… the Pure has a finish to it… unless you throw it over 275-300

Yeah its TPU… but what I meant was that he doesn’t get to choose and make the plastic what he wants. The color, the stiffness, all of that depends on what the plastic was before it was blended together into TPU… so unlike other companies who choose exactly the plastic and blends to make it what the want to be, ie. the color, stiffness, durability, grip. He works with whatever the recycled plastic is… aka… whatever he has

All of the plastic used to make the discs is already TPU, so I’m pretty sure the only thing that would change between runs is the color and there would not be much (if any) variation in the actual properties of the disc/plastic (stiffness, durability, grip, etc.). I’m no plastic expert either, but just learned from his videos that all of the source plastic being recycled has to be the same type for the recycled product to also be recyclable itself.

Yeah, I guess that would be a question I have for Jesse… like how specific or broad is the TPU classification… I wouldn’t be surprised either way… like if it’s super specific to the point where every batch of TPU he gets is practically the same other than color… or if it’s so broad that every batch he gets is completely different

@@ApolloDiscGolf tpu is a pretty specific term, that can have a lot of variation in it. You could get a noodle of a disc or a disc as hard as tire rubber and have it called tpu. Almost all discs made are made out of some blend of tpu even if they wont admit it.
