My husband and i used to work this well together, unfortunately 31 years of marriage and 7 kids, years later 😢we argue over the dumbest crap including dinner and i do all the cooking cleaning yard work laundry, some days on the homestead im to tired to even care about dinner. Keep working on yourselves as a couple. Dont ever lose who you are. Love watching all ypur videos, keep it up. Your place is looking so great! ❤️

I would use chicken wire for the bottom gaps, it won't be noticeable from a distance. You can bury some into the ground so they can't dig out. The fence is gorgeous. I love it. You need to get the vines off that is already beginning to climb the fence. If you don't the moisture in the vines will begin to rot it quickly.

You can paint the chicken wire black as well and it’ll look invisible

I think you can buy black chicken wire now. But if not it is still a great idea.

If you want a pretty green yard all winter go to your local coop, MFA etc..and get 50lbs of winter wheat and 50lbs of rye grain(winter rye). Both will stay green all winter and will germinate just broadcasting on unworked ground as long as you keep it wet for 3-5 days consistently. Add in some Kentucky 31 and you will have a pretty yard after the wheat and rye bolt and dye out next spring. The wheat and rye are less than $20/50lbs

The fence looks great! If you put the fence post hinges on the other side you can put a bottom panel under the door and cover the gap.

You could level out the ground on both sides of the back gate so you don't have to add extra wood or wire fencing. Cut into the ground where the gate will open and make a small rock retaining wall so you can open the gate farther if needed. Looks awesome. Keep up the good work!

The fence turned out nice, great job. In time the gates will begin to sag so adding a cable and turnbuckle will address that issue. For post caps you should consider galvanized metal caps to protect the end grain from moisture. You might be able to find some that will fit otherwise just pick up some sheet metal and cut squares, bend sides and attach to posts. Simple, effective and inexpensive. Have a good week and be safe. Do add the diagonal bracings to the gates. It will stop the gates from sagging over time. A triangle is the strongest shape.

Just a suggestion on the bottom of the fence use the same wire as the panels just dig them in some to hold them. They won't rust and it will still look the same as the rest of it 😊

Big mistake now adding an angle brace. However, use a cable instead of 2x4 for less weight. Add a turn buckle to tension the cable. Run the cable from top hinge side of gate.

I like Donald Smith's comment about using concrete and slope away on both sides, as long as that not how you will bring in big mower then you might high center. But for the tractor, it would protect the tractor from sliding sideways in mud during wet weather. Just a thought!

Just fit fence panels to the dogs, just slightly bigger than the biggest gap, the dogs get tired carrying the extra weight and the fence stops them getting out.

I had the same issue with a true 4x4 post. So I cut normal 4x4s into block about 1 1/2 inch thick and center attached them to the top of the post then the commercial solar caps fit perfectly.

I absolutely love the fence. We lost our fence to a small tornado so have been getting quotes & cant find a fence company to build a fence like yours & they say its too expensive. Salem was so cute playing tiger in the grass. Of course he found his place on top of the house to rule over his entire kingdom. 🐈‍⬛🤣💜

i would use large rocks to close the bottom of the fence gaps. The bottom of the gate could be closed with a couple of large flat rocks the you could make a earthen ramp on both sides so that you could move equipment though the gate.
